MY DAD HAD been on the phone with my mom for hours, talking and yelling at her. I didn't know what was being said because I had decided to leave the house to sit on the backyard porch swing.
The evening sky was beautiful and clear. I could kind of see the stars already. It was really quiet but I could hear the animals scampering around some where.
I heard the door open and close.
"Yeah, I hear you." My dads voice filled the silence.
I looked up and saw him headed my way.
"Your mom wants to talk to you." He handed me the phone. I got up and took it from him.
"Yeah?" I said.
"I'm sorry." She apologized. "I'm so sorry,"
"I know."
"I'm going to try my best to fix this," she informed.
"You are?" I said surprised.
"Yes, it's the right thing to do."
"Thanks mom," I was grateful.
"I'd do anything for you, Mia." She said.
"I know." I nodded, even though she couldn't see me.
"I'm going to help you father track down the Healer." She concluded. "I just need to get in touch with some of my old friends,"
"Sounds good mom." I praised then asked.
"When are you coming home?""I'm getting on a plan tomorrow and I should be in Boise before sundown." She shared.
I was so glad she was finally coming home. I could use some motherly advice right about now.
"Alright, I'll call you later, I have to tell Brent were cutting our vacation short."
"Im sure he'll understand, bye mom," I hung up the phone and gave it to my dad.
"Hopefully she can track down the healer she went to." My dad said.
"I'm glad she's helping." I told him.
"Took some hours of convincing," my dad sighed. "But she agreed."
"I'm glad your my dad." I smiled. He hugged me and kissed the top of my head.
"I've been asking around," my dad began. "If we find The Healer; we might be able to reverse what was done."
