"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Someone hounded me and poked my face. I opened my eyes and saw Porter and Annabeth standing in front of me.

"Why?" I groaned.

"Malcolm wants everyone down stairs." Annabeth informed me.

I closed my eyes again. "Why?"

"We have visitors from the east."

My eyes shot open and I bolted straight off the couch. "The Crown King's men?"

"I think so." She verified.

That was all I needed to wake up. I had been waiting forever to see and meet them, and maybe even tell them about Malcolm. I hoped I would have the chance to talk with them alone and that they will help me. I got up and got ready real fast, tossing on a blank white t-shirt, black jeans, and a black cotton sweater. All black, like my mood. I was, I guess, in mourning for my mate, for Brian.

I followed Annabeth and Porter down the stairs and out the backyard door. The other mates were already lined up in a neat row with their children; poised and ready to welcome the guests, The Crown King's Men.

The backyard had been prepared for a type of feast to take place. Two large grills were cooking different kinds of meat. Lawn tables and chairs were placed out too. The whole town seemed to be invited and I was sure they were all going to show up.

There was a stage near the front end of the backyard that had a lonely mic stand on it. I wondered what words they had for us to hear. Everyone seemed excited as they ran around trying to get everything ready.

"Are you coming or are you going to stand here and keep gawking?" His voice whispered into my ear. I turned my face and met this gaze. Malcolm had found me, in the sea of people now parading around his house.

"I'm..." I began to say, when my head started spinning.

My head started to hurt all of a sudden. I closed my eyes and winced, trying to push it back but that only made it hurt worse. Then I felt a surge of pain on the left side of my head. Then I was falling and my vision blurred.

I felt a pair of arms go around me and jolt me upright again, holding me in place. His face full of worry and concern.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"My head...." I winced.

"Call Doc," he told someone and then tell me. "Im taking you back to your room."
