I ran into town and ducked behind the store. I didn't know how much time I had before Malcolm would find me again. Every little second counted.

I couldn't just go walking in broad daylight out in the open. I'm sure Malcolm would find me easily that way. I had to get to the park fast before anyone recognized me.
