WHEN WE FINALLY returned, the evening celebrations were still in full swing. Malcolm's disappearance had gone unnoticed but once we entered the house, everyone stopped what they were doing and turned their hands towards us. The only ones that didn't was a group of people in the back that were surrounded by a wall of women. I couldn't exactly see who they were but decided to ignore it since Malcolm didn't seem affected by them either.

"Please, there's no need for pause." Malcolm spoke and the celebrations resumed right away.

I moved to cross the room and felt the sudden surge of power weigh down on me and I felt it pushing on my shoulder, it was hard to stand straight. It was more powerful than Malcolm's Alpha pull, and very intense.

"You left me no choice but to leave in the middle of Theodore's welcoming to Boise," he informed.

"You didn't need to leave, I was coming back." I said crossing my arms. "So that's your own fault."

"You haven't exactly proven yourself to be trustworthy so my actions were reasonable." He countered.

"Yeah well..." I was about to say when someone interrupted us.

"Malcolm," A man's voice boomed over the noise. I looked at the direction of the voice and that's when I saw him.

He had dark brown hair which was styled and combed back, his chin had a matching beard, well above six feet tall. Cold brown eyes gazing over us. He was wearing a black suit with a blue tie. He was muscular build, stood and walked in a regal way.

"Theodore, I apologize. There was a pressing matter I had to attend to." Malcolm bowed to him. This caught me by surprise, to see him being submissive. Maybe Theodore was more Dominate than him. It would make sense if he was, which again made sense because Theodore was one of the Crown Kings men.

"And you must be Mia?" He then said, coming over to me. "I've heard a great deal about you."

"I am." I gulped. "Heard from who?"

"The chatter surrounding you has everyone very curious," he shared, cryptically.

"I don't see why," I shrugged.

"I see." He stated, smiling.

Malcolm cleared his throat to get his attention. "What brings you to Boise? I didn't send out my request for an Officiant until the other day so I'm certain you're not here for that."

"I've been sent to regulate the Alpha's here---to inform the Crown if anyone is misusing power or authority." Theodore replied. "We've been hearing troublesome things out East."
