I got out of the shower and came out of the bathroom to see that my phone was vibrating non-stop. I unlocked my phone and most of them were numbers that I didn't know asking if they could come or if they could add another person to their plus-one.
People! It's called plus-one for a reason.
Besides, Sarah basically invited the whole school except McKenzie and crew, so I don't know who else hasn't been invited.
I wore my thumbs out replying back to them saying, no invite, no okay, no come.
Then catching my attention through all the messages, Sarah's text popped out, Today's probably gonna be the longest day we'll have this year.
Ha, can't wait. I replied
I finished getting ready and grabbed what I needed for the day. I left my room across to Fabien's, "Fabien!" I yelled banging on his door.
"Come in!" He answered.
I twisted the knob and swung the door open. He didn't have a shirt on so his little baby abs were showing.
Aww.
"Skye, just gimmie a minute, will ya?" He said, draping a shirt over his head.
"I just wanted to ask if any of your friends contacted you."
"Yeah, all of them are meeting us at the hotel."
"Awesome. Alright, finish getting ready, I'll meet you downstairs. I wanna get something to eat before we leave."
He nodded and I left the room. I made my way through the house to the kitchen and took the box of Trixx and poured the contents into a bowl. Stuff like this just reminds me my childhood and the pink colored milk after the box technically throws up rainbow-colored balls into it. I was sitting at the island when Aunt Joce came in.
"Hey Skye." She greeted, "In for a long day?"
"Oh yeah." I laughed.
"What are you planning to do before the party?"
"Paintballing, then party."
"What are you planning on wearing for the party?"
I motioned over the clothes I was wearing at the moment then took another bite of my cereal.
"Really? Don't you wanna wear something nicer to your friend's party? What you're wearing right now will have a bit of sweat from running around during paintballing, don't you think?"
She has a point.
For once, I agreed with her.
"But I don't have any—"
"Ah! Don't finish that sentence!" She interrupted, "Follow me."
She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my seat. So technically, I didn't have a say in whether or not I should follow. But whate—wait, I'm not even finished with my cereal yet!
