OKAY.

I know I know. The poems that I write are mostly dark and sad. If you don't like it then don't bother reading my work!!

I'm kidding . . .

Not really . . .

Friends and family tell me that my pessimism not only radiates on my expression, but also in my poetry.

First off, it's my poetry. MY writing. I write it the way I want to write it, honestly I don't care if anyone thinks it's too bitter for their taste. I'm trying to explain the way I see it.

Poetry is beautiful, whether it's sad or happy. Poetry is nothing when you can't feel at least an emotion or so while reading/writing it.

Here's the thing! Happiness is not as powerful as sadness in my opinion. When I write poetry, sadness seems to be my inspiration. It's a bittersweet thing. It has more depth, and more feeling within the words than in gleeful poetry.

I'm only writing the realism I see and experience in life, and all of the people around me say life's brighter than that.

I KNOW. I'VE HEARD THIS BILLIONS OF TIMES. judgmental assholes . . .

I write what life's showing me! I don't see the problem with that!

My poems aren't all dark . . .

I know, deep down, people agree with the things I write.

Mostly.

IN THE END, I'm being realistic here.

Well . . .

That wasn't so hard!

. . .

I wasn't that bad.

Was I?

. . .

Errrm. Yeah.
