I know I have disappeared, but I'm alive...ish.

Here is another random, shitty entry.

* * * ** ** *

I may not have been in a real relationship before, so most think I'm clueless when it comes to dating and romance.

My best friend is the one who's always in a relationship or in a somewhat relationship, and I'm the single friend who's hell bent on not getting a boyfriend.

We're total opposites.

Yet she always comes to me for relationship advice because she's dumb about this stuff and I'm the voice of reason. She keeps telling me to write a book on relationship advice and dating tips.

Of course I won't do that. Who has the fucking time?

But I will write some tips that would help you lovely people in relationships. They helped her in many ways, so.

1. Always tell the truth.

There's no room for sugarcoating in long-lasting relationships. Say it as it is.

2. Don't say "yes" to their every command.

Do. Whatever. The. Fuck. You. Want.

If they start to boss you around, then to hell with them.

3. Get a life.

Don't base your whole life on a person. If you do, that will ruin you. There is more to life than a particular person.

4. Toughen up.

If things get rocky in your relationship, don't wallow. Give each other some space and then talk about the problems until things work out.

Locking yourself in your room and eating ten pounds worth of ice cream won't fix anything.

5. Kill the doubt.

So what if there's some skinnier than you? Smarter than you? Better looking than you? They chose you, so stop being so insecure.

6. Don't promise the impossible.

Personally, I hate promises. They're all just words. But promising an everlasting relationship? That's bullshit.

Life doesn't last forever, so you can't promise your partner that and they can't promise you that either.

And people hurt people, it's in our nature whether we intend to or not. So you can't promise against the inevitable.

___________

Well that's what I got so far.

Wait for me to fuck up so you could get more helpful advice, which won't take me long.
