Kaiti

As dusk fell, Kaiti grew tired from running as hard as she could. He movements became slow, lethargic. She let herself fall asleep against the tree, and the bark was soft, like a pillow. Her face left it's constant state fear for content. A dark figure walked around her, silent but large. Finally the imposing figure sat down and watched her sleep. As the shadows grew longer and the air bitter cold, a third party came to be outside the small clearing. The new person walked around the camp carefully, trying not to get noticed. He circled the camp, studying it. He climbed a tree to camp out the area until dawn.

As darkness changed to light, a smile played on Kaiti's sleeping lips. A few minutes later, her eyes fluttered open. She rose to the sound of rushed footsteps. Someone was nearby, and she could not tell who, or what it was. A quick shadow on her left caused her to turn, but than she felt something behind her, an instant later, there was a a few upturned leaves and quick jump, one she could not have made beforehand.
An unearthly howl penetrated through the small clearing. A large creature, as dark as midnight, sprang into the clearing. A shower of dirt and twigs flew over the clearing. A snarl escaped the foaming mouth. Kaiti raised her arms, but it seemed to get angrier. A pulse of water slowly dragged itself up the hill, but not in time. The snarling creature sprinted directly at Kaiti. A flash sparked in front of her.

Isaac

Isaac stood over a rotting trunk, shivering as he fell down. For the first time in his life he had no plan. He felt lost beyond words, a piece of him missing. He looked around himself, completely unsure of himself. The he noticed a pain in his stomach. He had never experienced such a level of hunger. He then noticed some yellow berries on a bush. He quickly snatched it up and shoved it in his mouth, and it tasted of lemons and limes. He ate all that were on the bush and then he fell asleep.
When he awoke it was still twilight, and he stared at the stars. He began to wonder what had happened the day before. Did he inherit it from a long-dead ancestor? Did he eat something weird? Did he come in contact with radiation? Questions ran through his mind, but none could be answered. A small bristling pervaded the quiet wood. An unearthly howl shattered the near-perfect silence. He stood in fear, his body paralyzed. He wasn't sure to run and save who was being attacked or run away. Another scream rattled the clearing. He ran towards it in a split second decision. He figured if he was given the power, for that's what he called it, he should use it to save people. He ran as hard as he could to get to her on time. Branched scratched his cheek and thorns tore his clothes. When he reached the girl, a huge shape blocked his sight. He was about to catch fire when he was blinded by a flash

Cai

A single drop of water fell onto Cai's shirt, most falling to the ground. Tears streaked his face as he thought. Everything he ever knew, ever wanted, ever strived for, was lost. Sparks. That's what he did, sparks. He started to get up, but fell down. His body didn't want, couldn't want to support him. He crawled his way to the water, his movements erratic. A splash later he sat in the unusually warm water, and he took a sip off the side of the stream. A pine needle fell on his head. The smell of pine broke his randomness. He stood up, the world became dizzy to him for a second. A cry shattered the forest air. He started to walk towards it, and then picked up speed ever so slowly. When he got there, there was a monster big enough to blot out the sun. He knew he had to do something despite its frightening appearance.
He stood, tense. He saw a girl his age and felt the same "feeling" he felt when he used his powers. A guy his age broke through the bushes on the other side, startling Cai. He stood their for a minute in a complete confusion. The creature almost pounced, but he raised my hands quickly. A bolt of lightning sent him of his feet.
