I woke up on a cold table. It was smooth, but where my shoulders and feet were there were little indentations. I looked around the room and saw the creepy guy in a lab coat leaning over a table. A fridge beside him was marked all too clearly "Biohazard Chemicals". He reached into the fridge and grabbed something. He put in in a vat of blue stuff. He then grabbed a funnel and slowly poured in into a syringe.

The scientist turned around. I got to look at his face closer, and I could see he was fairly handsome. He had deep brown eyes, and his hair was dark brown. His teeth were perfectly straight as he smiled at me. "Are you ready for our little...experiment?" He said with malice in his voice. He walked slowly over to me as I tried to escape. The bars around my wrists and ankles seemed to only tighten with the effort. He advanced, the syringe gleaming coldly in his pale hands. I wriggle, but I the temperature drops and I became too cold to move. The dread was cold, but was it actually getting colder? The scientist began to shiver as frost crept up the glass of water on the table...Water, why didn't I notice it earlier? The water slowly moved in the glass, but would not do what I wanted it to. The scientist followed my eyes as he reached me, and continued to shiver. "You can't use your element little missy, your drugged so high with a chemical that weakens your power." The scientist smiled coldly. He went to plunge the syringe into my strapped arm when he froze.

"I told you I don't want her hurt, we need to figure out why she is so strong" said a burly voice behind me. A man who looked like a giant, human, marshmallow walked into the room. He has stuble on his chin, but looked otherwise very well-kept. He looked at me and my heart froze, his bright yellow eyes looking at me. I felt the metal against my wrist and ankles grow colder, reaching colds that I didn't know was possible. They started to swell slightly, and then exploded. The girl from my cell leapt from the shadows and grabbed my arm. She dragged me into a room and then stood still. I tried to pull away until I noticed her body disappearing into the shadows. She quickly hushed me. I watched my arms slowly fade into darkness. I heard yelling in the other room and the scientist ran into the same room as us, looking for us.

He passed by us, and we started to walk out. We walked past the guards, not catching a glimpse in the shadowy disguise we had. We made in to the doors, but they were locked and a good foot thick. We turned around but guards were surrounding us. "We know you're there, this is the only place you would go" came over the loud speakers.

I felt the urge to attack Mackenzie. I wanted her fried. I started walking over to her when I realized what I was doing. I felt compelled to attack Mackenzie, but I started to resist it. I felt the urge become stronger, almost as if someone was controlling it. I saw Madison focus and I realized she could do more than shape-shift. I threw a volt at her, and I watched everyone's hair stand on end. I have to lower the voltage if I want to fight in such and enclosed space. I yelled as I stepped over Izak. He was still out. The rocks continued to spin, but some flew out of their way towards Madison. I realized how much control Mackenzie had. Maybe, just maybe, she could use my power.

"Mackenzie!" I yelled as I sent my power in some kind of orb thing towards her. She turned around and began to realize what I was doing. She touched the orb and it swept through her. The rocks dropped because her power was covered up by mine. She sent a small volt of electricty at Madison. I looked at the energy strands moving around and grabbed at Mackenzie's. I heard her grunt as I took some of the dark brown energy from her figure. I used her power by mixing small doses of my energy with it, but I could barely control my original power, since most of it was in Mackenzie. I made the cave shake, and rocks began to rain down on us. A boulder landed between us and Madison. The whole cave began to collapse. I picked up Izak and we ran down the cave, in the opposite direction of where we came. I had no idea where we were going. Izak began to wake up, but he could not stand. He was murmuring something that I could not hear, but I was sure it was nothing. I saw light and I headed towards it, anticipating the warm sun. We were almost there when I tripped and started to fall, Mackenzie caught Izak, but could not support me too. I hit my head and it started to bleed. My blood mixed with the dirt, and a dim roar echoed through the cave.

We made it to the light, but it was too small a whole for me or Izak to fit through. Mackenzie slipped through the crack, but then noticed we could not fit. "Cai, you need to switch our powers back now!" cried Mackenzie urgently. I quickly switched our powers and another roar echoed, nearer this time. "Get us out of here before that thing makes it here!" I yelled fervently at Mackenzie. She used her power to shift the rock, but she was not strong enough to use her power. The roar was closer this time, almost right behind us. I took energy from me and sent it towards Mackenzie. I fell onto my knees, eyesight dimmer as I just missed passing out. She moved the rock easily and then pulled Izak out. She was about to pull me out when the roar happened right above my head. She grabbed for my hand, but I was pulled into the cave by whatever had made that roar.
