Me and Kaiti walked out to explore the area, leaving Cai alone. We scuttled around the building as we chatted excitingly. As we ran around a corner Kaiti smacked into a girl. They both fell as the sound of ceramic breaking resounded throughout the room. A look of guilt appeared on Kaiti's face as she quickly started picking pieces up. The girl stood up and brandished her arms like they were dangerous. I quickly yelled for Kaiti and pulled her away. I got a few strange looks from the surrounding teenagers. I was about to scold them when I saw the girl I thought was attacking was magically fixing her ceramic vase she had made. I said sorry and "I thought you were going to hurt, I'm sorry about this; I hope you can forgive me." I said with stammering and stuttering. She said it was fine and then smiled "Maybe you want to have a tour?" she said, accidently stating that she knew we were new here. That alone made me want to be wary but we went with her anyway. She led us to a gaming room, a lounge, and best of all, a natatorium. I asked Kaiti if she wanted to see if we could swim. Without replying, she strutted up to the girl and asked if we could. She said yes but then I realized a dilemma. We simply had no swim clothes. I despairingly said that we did not have swim clothes. She looked a little bewildered, but then quickly said "There is a room that you could get clothes from, like a seamstress hut. As we headed over their I tried to get her into a conversation but she ignored me. She lead us into the doorway and then ran down the hall. A little spooked, we walked into the room. We were immediatly surrounded by these middle aged women. They almost immediatly started to get our measures. After a minute of being closed in, they backed off. We watched in amazement as they weaved our swimsuits into existance by waving their hand over the measurements. Within moments they had two perfectly tailored swimsuits.
The pool was the perfect tempature-not too hot and not too cold. I was swimming in the deep end when I heard angry voices. They seemed to be upset about someone in the dormitories. I grabbed a towel and ran after them to see what they were doing. When I caught up to them they looked at me. I realized I was in swimming clothes, but I continued to create a conversation.
She looked with a distasteful eye at everything while her bright head hair caught the room's attention. Her shocking blue eyes glazed over me like I was nothing more than a flee. I grew insanely angry at the thought of this girl automatically thinking she was better than me. Rage flew throughout my body, an untamable inferno. Her eyes grew wide with fear as my whole body caught on fire. She threw some type of projectile at my head and it melted. Her element was ice. Kaiti came running to stop me but I couldn't stop. I threw fireball after fireball at her head. When Kaiti finally reached me, she lifted her arms. A wave of nausea passed across her face. The pool lifted itself up and came rushing towards me. I blinked out as a rush of cold hit me.
I woke up in the infirmary next to Cai. Kaiti stood hovering over his hospital bed. She noticed I was awake and ran over. I asked her what happened. "You got angry and attacked someone...so....um...I put you out. "Well could you do it less painfully next time?" I replied jokingly. The nurse came in and told us to leave.
As we passed by Cai's bed I saw his eyes flicker. We talked about him all the way down the hall. I was so worried about him, I demanded answers. She seemed glad that I had forgiven her for drenching me, but I felt different about it. She stopped her friend from being brash, how could I do nothing but thank her? "Thank You" I blurted out, guilt being released from me. She looked at me questioningly. "I'm so confused, why are you thanking me?" "because I needed put out, you helped me." "And I hurt you" "you win and you lose some" "didn't you feel it?" "feel what?" "You were screaming in pain" I was?" "loudly" "I don't remember", and then we stopped talking.
The natatorium seemed more lively now, but I didn't feel like going. I left Kaiti at the pool and walked to the dormitories. For some reason, the girls look of shock to my power scared me. How was I different? My mind whirled until I fell asleep.
I awoke to the girl who gave us a tour clammoring through my stuff. I grabbed her arm and asked her what she was doing. "Do you really think that I was normal, did you? I'm not even human!" Then she laughed crazily. Without hesitation she started to rip off her face. A metal skull stared back at me as she continued talking. She was talking, but I could not understand her. I was so surprised it was meaningless noise. I only caught that EVERYTHING she did was faked, and her powers were not real. I didn't realize she moved until her hand was around my neck. I tried to summon my power but it would not come. She held me their as my vision blurred.
I was about to pass out as I heard someone come in. The robot's hands stayed around my throat as Kaiti slapped her off me. She then saw the gleaming teeth, metal face, and eyes. She got scared and backed away. Even in this weakened state, the girl-bot was still able to subdue our powers. She continued to strangle me, but unefficiantly. Being without each other made her hands and her body very weak. Kaiti crushed the skull in and all the power went out. We quickly looked at each other and ran for the dinner bell.
