You know, I thought that finding more people like me would be a blessing, but turns out I am being thrown in a supernatural war. The people I'm with seem nice, but I barely know them. Should I trust them? What if they harm me like my dad... I started to cry as the thought of what happened filled my head. I missed my mom so much, ever since she died from cancer. My dad lost it after that, saying he couldn't take care of me and my sister when she died. He went into horrible grief. He wouldn't go to work, and he wouldn't even leave his bed. He started drinking and forgetting to pay the bills. Social workers showed up one day and took our house. Our dad sent us to an orphanage because we reminded him too much of our mom. We lived in the orphanage at England for a year, until we were split up. She had gone to Australia and I was sent to America. When I arrived in America I was teased for my accent, but I didn't really care. Despite being bullied, I stood down. I stayed in my room with three other kids; Kaine, Brad, and Justin. I cried there everyday, looking at her picture.
After six months of being there, they moved me to Texas. I wasn't there long, as it was shut down, for it needed financial help. I was sent to one in Pennsylvania. I stayed there several years, until I discovered my powers. I discovered my powers when I was bullied by this kid named Francis. He was punching me while I laid on the ground. He was about to kick my face when a rush of energy flooded through my body, tingling ripping though my body. The wind began to pick up, leaves flying through the air like it was weightless. A tornado started to form above my school, my body felt more and more tingly as it grew. I lifted my arms, as if it came naturally. I began to guide it with my hands. I had never felt that powerful before. I pulled it towards me and Francis. I threw the tornado at him before I realized I was going to kill him. I threw all I had into what I had created, hoping the it would work. Francis screamed, but I blocked it out and focused on closing it. I felt the wind stop pulling my hair every which way and opened my eyes. Francis laid bleeding in the center of the damage, his limbs bent at all wrong angles. I ran off, fearing that I could do something like that again.
I started walking into the woods until I began to feel light-headed. I sat down against tree, lowering myself slowly. I fainted there, hearing voices and fearing they came after me.
"Is he still alive?" I heard a higher male voice said.
"He has a pulse, you even checked yourself" snapped back a deeper voice.
"Just making sure, no need to be so rude about it"
"Well then, don't ask dumb questions"
"I was just making sure"
"Wait, he's waking up", which ended their scuffle.
"What happened to you?" said the deeper voice, which I could now see belonged to a tall, lean, guy around sixteen. His brown hair hung down over his face, covering a lot of it up. The other guy was a little shorter, but more muscular.
I was about to talk when my stomach interrupted the words building on my tongue. The taller guy looked at the shorter one.
"Sorry about his manners, you were unconscious for three days." The guy said, making my eyes pop open. The shorter guy came back with some beef stew. The smell of it made my stomach hunger, as the last time I ate it was with my mother. I grabbed the bowl, eagerly scarfing it down. When I was done, the one guy took the bowl while the other grabbed a bottle of water and gave it to me. I tried to drink, but my throat hurt so bad from thirst, and I only hurt it more eating the hot stew. I was like trying to drink nails.
"Can you tell us your story now?" the brown-haired guy said. I started to tell them, but my voice was so cracked I don't know how much they actually understood. It felt so good to tell someone my story, even these random strangers. I stayed with them for several years, learning their names were Jack and Cal. I stayed with them until I left with Cai, Kaiti, and Izak.
