I looked precauriosly at the boys around her age and grew a sense of fear and confusion. "Hello, my name is Kaiti" were the first words I could mumble, a little shakily. The dirty blonde introduced himself, he said his name was Izak. The one with jet black hair stayed quiet. He looked as if in deep thought. In a matter of moments he went from thinking to falling to the ground. I quickly caught him before he landed on the rock he was standing on. Blood started to pour out from under him. Izak flipped him over and almost vomited. Sticking out of his back was a tree branch, probably from the explosion. I quietly thought about the little book I had on healing things, it was very little but they didn't have many choices. I recognized some nearby leaves as medicinal and started boiling water in a little rock with a large indentation. Izak walked over to esess the situation. He took the guys shirt off to reveal a large wound, bleeding heavily. He looked at it and started to study it he put one of the leaves I was using onto him and it caught fire in his hand. The leave fell and cauterized the wound. I stared at him curious but he looked afraid. I decide to leave him alone about it. Thoughts ran through my mind as I realized he was like me, only with a different power. I was thinking of talking to him about it when a groun from the other boy emerged. I took over the tea I made, which smelt sort of minty, and he drank it unquestioned. He looked at me and I was caught off guard by his perfect straight teeth and his electric blue eyes. He said thank you, a look of pain flickering onto his face. We introduced ourselves, and I learned his name is Cai.
We told each other our story and I told Cai of Izak's ability. I was surprised to learn Cai had an ability to, electric. For some reason I kept mine a secret. Before we noticed, it was getting dark. Izak tried lighting a fire but almost burnt off Cai's eyebrow. We slept in piles of leaves, hoping the smell of the dying autumn leaves would mask our scent.
I woke to a delicious smell, making me hungry. I was the last one awake. I looked over at the source of a smell and noticed the guys eating. I got up and they finally noticed me. "Good morning Kaiti, come and get some breakfast, I made eggs!" said Cai after daintily wiping his mouth. I asked him where he got the eggs when he said he had taken a walk by the nearby river when he saw a bird's nest in the tree. He took the eggs and left some seeds for it. A simple talk later I learned that Cai and Izak were both in 10th grade. I found out that Cai is a jock and Izak is a bit of a nerd-not exactly your normal group. Suddenly the shadows were twisting and we looked up. The trees were moving! I got up to run but the grass tripped me. The vegetation is against us. The trees picked us up and threw us to the mountain peak. At the moment I knew we were going to die, the mountain top OPENED UP. LIKE A TRAPDOOR. We fell onto a bouncy pad like thing. We had trouble getting off it, it seemed kinda sticky too. When we finally got off we were looking into a room full of people staring at us quietly. Then a sudden cheer burst from the crowd. Finally, I passed out.
