Uncontrolled (Cai)

So....I woke up this morning ready for the day. Why would I ever think anything was easy? Everything seemed to hate me, from wake to sleep. Or would I even get any? Who knows? Who cares? Blood soaked through my shirt as I laid down, maybe for the last time. Maybe I should start from the start.

I woke to a bird calling outside of my window. Sunlight streamed into the nearby window. I smiled, a time like this was few. I stepped down and walked to my chest barefoot. I stepped on a small tack, probably from a poster or something. They thing burnt in my foot as I tried to take it out. Pain wriled itself into my foot. 

As I got dressed, the chest fell on my foot. As I walked into the main room holding my foot, everyone was crowding the hall. Teachers were trying to huddle the teenagers into their rooms. A girl tripped and knocked down a teacher. A flow a kids dashed out. I slipped into the hallway. The other kids ran but were caught almost immediately. I was shoved into a hallway closet in the rush. The teachers walked up and down the halls after the crowd was controlled. I waited until the halls were clear. In the wait time, the whole compound was put under lockdown. I quickly slid down the hall, turning the lights off with my power. A quick drop in my stomach told me I was using too much energy. I then hid myself behind a curtain. Shadows crossed looking around, and I was surprised they didn't see my shadow or my feet sticking out of the curtain. A harsh voice beside me woke me up from my thought. "Are you going to get moving?" cried Lily as she pushed me out. I stumbled out and expected to be caught right away, but I wasn't. I looked around to an empty hall. She crawled out form the hiding spot. I was thinking my argument through and just about to start it when she put her fingers to her lips and pointed down the hall.

Shadows rounded the corner and two teachers walked down the hall. Lily dragged me to a potted plant. I was about to whisper that she was out of her mind and there was no way that the small plants could hide us, when a look of concentration came to her face. The small flower under me began to grow bigger and bigger, to the point where I could hide behind it easily. We listened to the steps on the wax-like floor resound until there was no sound that could be heard. 

We seemingly crouched our way to the place the teachers were guarding. As we reached the door, the infirmary, we couldn't move another inch without being spotted. Lily ran into the midst and started yelling. I took the distraction, and ran into the room. I quickly hid under a sleeping patient, who woke to a start when I hit the floor. I overheard the teachers and the headmaster talking. A patient had gone missing during the night. The one teacher than asked which one. "Why the new one, Kaiti". The rest of the sentence left my mind as I burned with the need to help one of my fellow companions. I felt a pull on my power and instead of holding it back, I let it rip. The lights started to flicker and then turn off. One by One by One. A scream penetrated the room as I felt myself become stronger. As my power seemed to grow, the screams came more and more. Soon it became a chorus, a chorus from the very pits of tartarus. Each screech got louder until I let go. All the energy I had accumulated had left and the cries died. I fell onto the ground, blood rushing in my ears. Had I done that? Was I that powerful? What had I done?

I vomited on the floor and teachers came. The room seemed crowded from them. I could barely walk. My head swam in circles as I spoke complete babble. Tension in the air crackled like wild sparks. I fell to my knees, tears welling up in my eyes. Pain seemed to become a part of me, time and existance were nothing. I was pain. I felt nothing but numbness. I had no idea if I was alive or dead. I blanked out as pain roared over me, consuming, bitter, horrendous pain.

I woke up in the infimary, a slight pain in my toes. I looked down and they were huge! My toes were about the size of my feet, swollen in size. A nurse came over as my heart moniter started beeping. Lights started blinking off and on, all the machinery were powering off, and i grew more awake. I jumped out of my bed, hot tears running down my face. I jumped out of the window, glass shattering. I felt my skin being shredded, but the worst was yet to come. I started a 50 foot fall onto solid rock. I felt heat slide beside me, friction kicking in. I started to slow down but I was still going way to fast. It suddenly got so hot my clothes were smoking. Right before I hit the ground, I started to float in the air. I still felt the heat, but friction should have ended and I should have been a grease mark. I looked to the side the heat was strongest and saw Izak's face. A rush of heat hit me as we started to ascend. He seemed to be glowing a brilliant blue, and I saw the occasional flame leap in his aura. A girl grabbed me when he flew onto the base. She patted my clothes down and started applying an herbal ointment onto my burns. I looked up and saw Lily...the bully. She smiled down at me and then Izak walked over.
