Chapter Eighteen-Loose Lips Sinks Ships all the damn time

Maya steadied herself as she got up from her seat by the door.The first guest had arrived and she was trying to decide in her head who it would be.The Matthews?Shawn?Her mother?Her shaking hand reached the doorknob and she felt Josh's arm around her waist.She felt secure with him.
"Hello dear daughter of mine.You evil boy who is stealing my daughter away from me."
Shawn stood in the doorway with a half smile on his face.He pulled May into a hug and then shook Josh's hand coldly.Boy was this going to be a long evening.Riley and Farkle then took Shawn to the living room leaving Maya and Josh still as nervous as they were a few moments earlier.The Matthews arrived shortly after Shawn and the tension broke once Cory and Shawn got to talking about life.

The meal began and things seemed to be going perfectly.The food was delicious because Riley and Maya had cooked it and there were no signs of small talk to be found in the whole apartment.Cory then made the mistake of how Shawn was going on with Carrie.Big mistake Cory,Very big mistake.
"Dad.Who is Carrie.See how important this is to me,I called you dad."
Maya had worry in her eyes and her grip of Josh's hand increased.Shawn shot Cory an evil glance before facing Maya.
"Well.Errr....I am seeing a woman called Carrie and we have been going out for quite a while now and I kinda asked her to marry me last week."
Shawn braced himself for the screaming that was about To come but everyone was interrupted by a knock at the door.No it can't be her.It was her though.Katy Hart emerged through the door moments after knocking,not waiting for an answer.
"You think you can all have this happy family meal without me.I am your mother Maya and I deserve to know what worthless piles of crap you hang around with."
Everyone looked hurt in their own ways at Katy's comment.Maya's eyes glazed over in fury,forgetting everything Shawn had just said.
"Mom have you been drinking?"
Katy gave Maya a look,that if looks could kill,would have definitely killed her.
"Of course I have been drinking how else was I meant to cope with this thing?"Katy spat back at Maya.
"For one thing you never call my family anything bad from now on,I have my own life and Josh is the best thing in it right now and probably will be for the rest of my life.I love him and I want to marry him more than anything in the world and if you don't like that then you know where the door is don't you?"
Maya felt a rush of victory run through her body.She had finally stood up to her mom after all of this time.
"Katy I suggest you leave now because you have clearly upset Maya."
Shawn tried to help out Maya but it seemed to only make things worse.
"You can speak can't you 'Mr I am no engaged to another woman's an haven't told my ex wife or person who is the closest thing to a daughter I have.'No where is the alcohol in this place?"
Katy started to rummage around the kitchen whilst Shawn got up to drag her away.
"GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF OF ME NOW I WANT ALCOHOL!"
Katy's words were beginning to slur even more and she was trying to fight back to Shawn.Josh joined in and pulled Katy with Shawn out of the apartment.
"Hey Maya me and Shawn are gonna take your mom to a hotel and let her stay there for a night so we will back soon okay?"
Josh.Even after what Katy had just done still wanted to help out Maya and her broken family.He was the one.The light at the end of the tunnel.Maya's hope.

"okay hurry back."
Maya sighed and walked into her room leaving everyone sat around the table in shock.On the outside she was standing but on the inside she was on the floor on her knees in small pieces.Why did this always have to happen to her?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That chapter was hilarious and I think Katy is my favourite character. Worthless piece of crap. Lol. Had to say it. Does that mean we can swear from now on? YAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY! I have been waiting my whole lifetime of writing these things to swear. Ok. Hear goes. Deep breath. Shit. *giggles like a four year old* any whom (which is the correct grammar btw) I love this chapter! Drunk people are my favourite people. DID YOU LOVE RAH RAH BECAUSE WE DID AND I GET TO SEE MEGAN TODAY SO YIPEE FOR THAT! YES PEOPLE ANOTHER WEEKEND OF WEIRDNESS FROM US. WHO ARE WE KIDDING WE'RE FABULOUS. HEE HEE.
