Chapter 23 - Panic

Riley felt terrified at what was going to happen. Would Farkle come back? He said he would but he was pretty mad. Riley needed Maya. She really needed Maya right now but she was on her honeymoon. There was no way you would disrupt Maya having fun and being happy for once in her life. Riley would have to deal with this on her own. She would fight her own battle, she would stand tall and be like a fierce Amazon warrior. On the other hand Riley was not an Amazon. She was a super sparkly amazing princess. That was Riley. That's what Rileytown was. She couldn't just change it in one second. Though maybe she could try. She would try for the man she loved. The thought scared her. Riley wasn't brace like Maya. She couldn't do this. Her body couldn't cope with this. Her hands started to shake and her breathing was hitched and panicked. This wasn't good. This had never happened before. Her palms started sweating and and her brain clouded over and she couldn't remember what was happening. It finished as quickly as it started. Gone in an instant. She couldn't remember it. What happened before and feeling it finish but not in between. She shuddered again and decided she would deal with this in a Riley way. No way on earth was she gonna try to be something else. She was gonna be Riley. Riley was the best person she could be.

Farkle had located Charlie's apartment and was walking up the hall. He could hear him talking quite loudly to someone inside. He leaned closer against the door to try to hear what was being said. There was a muffled argument happening and then a door slam and then the shower started running. Farkle decided that this was the best time to barge in and give Charlie a piece of his mind. Except Farkle didn't barge. That wasn't the Farkle way. The Farkle way was to knock and then walk inside. He figured that would get his message across as efficiently as possible. He knocked and didn't wait for answer. He strode inside and closed it behind him and was greeted by the surprised face of Charlie Gardner.
"Farkle. This is a surprise."
Charlie said, standing up and offering his hand for a handshake. Farkle could smell the intoxicating scent of the vodka on his breath.
"Really? I would have thought you would have been expecting me."
Farkle said slowly rolling up his sleeves and cracking his knuckles. Which he didn't know he could do.
"No. I don't know what you're talking about buddy."
Charlie replied. He looked nervous now and Farkle could see he was uncomfortable.
"Well. Since you decided you would intoxicate my fiancée and then try and make a move on her. I believe this visit is more than necessary." Farkle was close to Charlie's face then but took a step back to aim a fist at his face. His fist smashed into Charlie's face and left him crumpled over his side seething in the pain. He started to get up with his hands up trying to explain what had happened but Farkle aimed another fist at his jaw. It clicked out of place and blood was pouring down Charlie's face.
It was then that Farkle woke up from his anger trance and decided to drive Charlie to the hospital. He loaded him into the car and sat him up-right with an ice pack next to his jaw. Charlie had a huge bruise over his eye and his jaw. He kept apologising to Farkle over and over with the same pathetic look in his eye. When they arrived at the hospital Farkle left him at the front with instructions to go and get them to check his jaw. The excuse was that he was mugged. The fact was Farkle felt sick to his stomach about the idea of doing that to him and wanted to take the blame for it but Charlie insisted that he would stay away as long as Farkle left him alone and in return he wouldn't tell the police. Both where satisfied with that and had agreed to it at the steps of the hospital. Farkle Leaned into Charlie's ear and whispered
"Stay away from Riley." With that he turned, got back into the car and drove away into the night.

Riley honey that was what people in the big world call a panic attack.It gets easier don't you worry.
This chapter is really good because of the panic attack thing and just to let all you guys know if you do have panic attacks it is ok to admit it and you will get through it somehow even if you don't know it yet.Hannah and I somehow manage to do it so so can you.
There you go I have given you all a life lesson.
Oh yeah and I hope Rowan had a good 14th birthday yesterday and it's my 14th birthday soon so YAY!!!(Megan)
