Chapter Twenty-You are in love

3 months later...
Maya hesitantly slid down from her stool once she heard the organ begin.Riley was jumping up and down in her very high heels whilst Shawn was holding his arm out for Maya to hold.
"You ready to get married sweetie?"
Shawn looked at his daughter with a concerned look on his face whilst Riley started to walk through the door and down the aisle.
"Yeah.I am ready to get married now.I want to be Mrs Joshua Matthews."
And the thing was Maya actually felt ready for once.She didn't feel anxious or scared about what was to come of the day.She just wanted to be happily married to the love of her life.Joshua Matthews.For once she let go of her fears and her ghosts and she felt like a weight had been lifted off of her.
The music got increasingly louder.Maya's cue.She linked hold of Shawn's arm and walked through the door.Everyone was stood up and staring at her.A few awes were heard and close relatives had tears in their eyes already.Maya didn't notice that though,neither did Josh.They only had eyes for each other.All the way up the aisle their eyes were locked.How could life possibly get better than this?

Maya heard the familiar lines that the pastor began to say.She began to wonder what life would be like if she would have said 'I do' the first time around.Would she be happy?Well she certainly wouldn't be with Josh and she wouldn't be able to live the life she wanted.Maya would still be stuck under her mothers reins.A smile broke out onto her face and Josh said his part.
'I do'
Maya opened her mouth to begin speaking.
'I...'
"Oh honey don't you think you should get married infront of your mother and your obsessive ex?"
Katy Hart was heard walking down the aisle,Lucas following shortly behind her.
"Maya I know that this is your wedding to Josh but how about we have another go and us two get married right now?I mean how perfect would that be.Your mother would be so happy wouldn't she?"
Maya stared in disbelief at what she had just heard.
"Do you really think that I would ever want to marry a low life pig like you?And what makes you think that I would ever care what Katy Hart thinks about my life.For goodness sake its MY LIFE.I want to marry a man named Joshua Matthews and I want to grow old with him and the rest of my true family NOT you two."
Josh stepped forward so then he was in the middle of Maya and Katy and Lucas.He walked upto Lucas and pulled him closer.
"You ever lay a hand on Maya or look at her in the wrong way ever again then you will have me to answer to okay?Because eventhough you are strong and you look as strong as a horse I am equally as powerful as you and if you hurt the person I love the most in the world I will make it my lifes mission to hunt you down and kill you with my bare hands.Now I suggest you both get the hell out of this place before we call the cops.Nice talking with you."
Josh released Lucas and stepped backwards so then he was by Mayas side.He squeezed her hand tightly to let her know that she was safe and kept his eyes on Katy and Lucas.
"Fine I have tried my hardest to make sure you have the best life necessary but you keep pushing me away.I don't want to be involved in such a pathetic little bitch's life anyway.Lucas come on!"
Lucas looked at Katy and watched her begin to walk down the aisle.
"Wait."
He aimed to punch Josh right in the however at the last second Josh defended himself and pushed Lucas off.
"Not today Cowboy.I want to get married to Maya today.Told you I was strong."
Josh smirked as he watched Katy and Lucas leave the church.
"So Maya do you want to get married now?"
Maya looked into Josh's eyes and kissed him.
"Yes."
"So where was I?Ah yes Maya you were saying..."
'I do'
'You may now kiss the bride.'
Josh picked up Maya ever so slightly and wrapped his arms her waist whilst she had hers around his neck.They then kissed passionately as the whole church erupted in appluase.

"I love you Mr Joshua Matthews."
"I love you too Mrs Maya Matthews."
