Chapter Thirty Two-Finally

Maya awoke to the smell of freshly prepared pancakes floating through the house.She was confused as to where she was because the last thing she could remember was making Josh leave and then slowly falling to sleep whilst crying on the floor.And how long had she been asleep?Certainly not hours as it was going dark again.Maya began to remember more and more of what has happened in the past two weeks and everything hit her at once.This time however she didn't feel like she neede to hide away and not talk to anyone,this time she wanted Josh,she wanted to make sure he was fine so then they could look after their child together.The dreams she had helped her make those decisions.It was like 'A Christmas Carol' in some ways as she got visited by her mom,Feeny and then the most surprising of all,her dad.She began to stand up and make her way out of the door and down the hall.She stopped to look at herself in the mirror and saw some crazy haired monstor staring back at her,first she would need a shower and a change of clothes,then she would fix her hunger and her marriage.

Maya emerged from the bedroom 20 minutes later,her hair in a long,wet plait and wearing a grey baggy jumper and leggings.She felt better just by changing herself and now she would go to the kitchen and tackle the next problem,her husband.
Josh was sat at the kitchen island eating pancakes and drinking coffee.He was in baggy clothes and looked like he hadnt slept for days.Maya hated the fact that she probably did that to him.
She came bounding in with a smile on her face which made Josh look up from his phone.His frown was exchanged for a smile at the sight of his wife looking happy.That is all he wanted.He had arrived back from Philly a few hours before and had found Maya still asleep.She had been sleeping for well over a day.She needed the rest.
"Hey babe I just wanted to say I am so sorry for everything that happened and U want to make sure you are fine and then I want to look after this baby because he or she is going to be the best kid in the entire world.I am so sorry Josh I really am It's just that I--"
Josh cut her off by pulling her up to him and greeting her with a kiss.A long kiss.A deep kiss.The kiss that he had been thinking of for days.
"I don't care about any of that anymore.I was mad at you but now I am not.We are gonna look after this baby and we are gonna mess it up in our own special ways.That's what a family is all about,ok?Now shut up and eat some pancakes before they go cold."
Maya's face cracked into a smile as she went to sit down next to Josh.Boy she was glad that they had made up.

Maya was now looking forward to the next 6 or 7 months.Finally she was happy,again.But she was sure that there would also come another time down the road when she wouldn't and she would just have to remind herself that she is strong enough to get through anything.
