Chapter 19- Love's a fragile little flame

Josh pulled Katy off of his shoulders and lugged her onto the bed. She was drunk and dribbling and half asleep already. He wiped the layer of saliva off of his shoulder and helped shawn to remove her ridiculously strappy shoes. Josh was worried more than anything. He knew maya would be hurt and upset , cory would be fuming and Riley would be in deepest darkest Rileytown. He didn't want to deal with any of it. He just wanted to check that maya was ok. That she wasn't broken again. He had spent so long putting all of the pieces together and finding some way to mend her and now all of it would be broken.

Maya was cleaning up at home with Riley.After a short time of being couped up in her room to regain control over the situation Maya finally came out.
"We can't all just sit here moping around all day." Maya commanded clapping her hands together.
"We need to get up and celebrate this dinner for what it was. A huge celebration of our engagements. So Cory ask as many questions as you want, Topanga whip out your party planner, Amy make some snack for us all and Alan......"
Maya would have told him to do something but he was sound asleep on the couch snoring his head off. They all laughed at his open mouth and the fact that auggie was dressing him up like a Christmas tree. He shushed them all and returned to wrapping tinsel around his head. By the time Shawn and Josh had returned everything was almost how it had once been, happy and jam packed with fun. But Josh saw something. He saw some glimmer of sadness in Maya's eyes and he knew he had to talk to her at some point.

That some point was later. When Maya and Josh where alone.
"Alright then spill it." Josh said leaning against the kitchen counter.
"Spill what?"
"I know you're not completely happy Maya. Tell me what's wrong."
"How are we ever supposed to be a happy family if my parents can't be in the same room together. Or the fact that Shawn didn't even tell me that he found somebody else. Did he not think I would accept her? Does he not trust me?"
"Maya, he trusts you. He was going to tell you but not tonight. He felt that since Katy was here there would be no way of telling you without it being completely blown out of proportion. He trusts you Maya. Believe me."
Maya felt better at those words. She felt stronger and like she was at peace again. She didn't feel so fragile anymore.

Well hello.
Super excited for Texas next week and we can not WAIT!!!!
This was a cute lil' chapter with Maya realising how strong she is.
Maybe next chapter will be the wedding or the wedding planning.
If I do the wedding chapter then it will be cery dramatic and crazy because I like drama and violence.
Yup.
Anyway keep thinking thoughts and dreaming unicorn dreams...
