-Enjoy! Very Angsty!-
You walk down the bustling streets in your tight pencil skirt along with a pair of stilettos. You grip your cup of store bought tea in your hand as you hurry along into the metro-station to avoid another earful from your boss.

As you get into the train along with countless other people going to school and work, you let your mind wander listlessly as you glance out the windows. Ever since you were aware of your consciousness, you were presented with the nagging feeling that you were here for a purpose. However, life was overwhelmingly hectic, and there was no choice but to be swept along the current of urbanization. There was no way of fighting it, because it would bring you crashing down instantly.

You were fortunate enough to land a sturdy job that paid you relatively well. Your daily necessities were all covered, but you couldn't help but realize that there must be more to your existence. The dreams that you had, on the other hand, were as confusing as your thoughts. You were always a part of a different era, where horses and carts were the main sources of transportation. If that wasn't strange enough, you always saw a group of people dressed in fancy and weird looking uniforms along with heavy-looking contraptions hung to their sides. Every single day, the same dream repeated over and over again. It came to the point where you didn't need to even close your eyes  to know what you were going to    happen as soon as you fall asleep. The strange thing about it was: Every single day, one of them disappears.

You shake out of your daze as you slap your cheeks lightly with one hand. There you were again. Escaping reality to be lost in your own thoughts. As you all file out of the agape doors of the metro, you bump straight into someone and you feel your paper cup of tea splatter all down your clothes as well as the strangers.

"Oh my god...I'm so sorry." You apologize as you push your messy strands of hair back with embarrassment.

You pull out a pearl white handkerchief that you don't remember buying and offer it to the man in front of you. Somehow, his face looked greatly consumed by an abstract sorrow and pain. He accepts the handkerchief and begins to wipe down the mess in silence. At that moment, you flick your wrist up to check the time and gasp as you realize that there was no time for you to be standing around.

"U-Um! You can keep that handkerchief as an apology. I'm so sorry sir!" You bow again before dashing away towards your work building before he could reply or react.

The man watches you almost mournfully as he runs his finger through the silky smooth and scented handkerchief before walking away at last. The unfamiliarity of it all hurt him internally. He knew deep down that he had seen you in another life. The other life that brought misfortune and pain to anyone living in it. For that moment, he felt pained, until a power overwhelms his emotions as he breaks into a run to chase after your silhouette before it was too late.

You feel a rough hand on your shoulder that pulls you backwards and you turn around in shock to see the man earlier. Before you could cry for help, he tilts your chin up and brings his subtle lips down on to yours. You feel your fear ebbing away as it is replaced with the feeling of nostalgia. As you close your eyes, you see the man from your dreams, holding you with a strange handkerchief tucked into his collars. He was the only one standing in your dream now, and when you open your eyes again, he was gone.

What you didn't know was that was the last farewell before he faded from your memory forever. You didn't dream the same dream after that day, and you felt like you had lost an important part of you. The dreams were the only emotional attachment you got to experience, and now, you were truly alone in the bustling world of industrialization.
