"We're going to Vegas!" my sister, Holly exclaimed happily. Holly was really pretty, she had dark hair and very blue eyes like me but I felt I could never match her standards. She was so lucky, she had a hot husband and cute son, and of course she was loved by everyone. I was just plain.

"You're going to Vegas?" I asked her.

"No we're going to Vegas. Ollie and I want a weekend away with our friends and we thought Vegas was an excellent idea as we've always wanted to go there but we haven't had the chance because of Jamie." Ollie was my sister's husband they married two years ago after being together for three months. Jamie is their son, he's three years old, he really cute too.

"Who's going?" I really hoped my sister's best friend Josh wasn't coming, I have always hated him. As a child he teased me and was nasty to me, and once we grew up he blanked me and basically put guys off me, therefore I've never had a boyfriend because of him. He's such a dick.

"You, me, Ollie and Josh."

"Josh is going," I groaned unhappily.

"Yeah of course he's going he is my best friend."

"Why couldn't you have invited someone else, like Jake and Carley?"

"They're coming too but just a day later."

"So I've got to suffer with Josh for a whole day alone because I know that you and Ollie will be elsewhere."

"He's not that bad Anna, you just have to get to know him, he's a great guy really."

"That's what you think but I know the other side of him, the mean being inside of him."

"He's not mean, you just don't like him very much so you believe things that aren't true. Josh is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met," Holly said wrapping her arms around me.

"He hates me too," I explained.

"Whatever, you're just going to have to get over this, were going to Vegas not matter what you say and Josh is coming too."

"Why am I even going, I'm not twenty-one for another three years," I told her, it wasn't like I could get into any of the bars or casinos there I was barely eighteen.

"That's why we got you this," she shoved a fake ID in front of my face.

"Where did you get this?"

"I have my sources, now shut up and go and pack your things we're leaving in five hours."

"What?" I exclaimed. "We're going this weekend?"

"Yes, I hope you don't have any plans."

Like most weekends I didn't have any plans, I had no boyfriend to see or any parties to go to. My life was so boring. "No I don't have any plans," I sighed.

I headed up to my bedroom to pack. I knew I didn't need much so I just packed my carry on so I didn't have to bother going through luggage. I chucked jeans and t shirts into my bag, along with my lacy underwear and hair and makeup products. Then I was ready to go.

* * * * *

The flight seemed to take forever but it was in reality a few hours. I had the unfortunate problem for sitting next to Josh for the whole flight, I begged and begged Holly to change seats with me but she didn't. Holly wanted to sit next to Ollie, I knew why, she was scared of flying and only one person could calm her down and that was Ollie.

"Anna Banana," Josh teased, "Can you pass me my bag." I groaned in reply, I was sitting in the aisle seats so every time Josh requested something I had to get it for him. I was supposed to be sitting on the window seat but Josh fought me for it and managed to get to the seat before I did.

"There you go, Joshy Washy," I said handing his him bag. We always called each other nick names and we hated it. His favourite to call me was 'Anna Banana' but my favourite to call him was 'Dick' or maybe even 'Asshole'. It changed depending on my mood.

"Thank you, Babe," he thanked me. 'Babe' was new he had never called me 'Babe' before, it made me feel weird.

I sat back in my seat and rested my head back. I was exhausted. I just wanted to get to my hotel room and sleep.

Somehow after we got off the plane we managed to pass through customs quickly. I was surprised when Josh offered to take my luggage for me but I think he knew that I was tired. I wasn't reluctant to give it to him.

"Vegas! Here we come!" Josh shouted as we exited the airport.

We climbed into some cabs and headed towards the hotel

After reached the hotel, I was is the cab with josh unfortunately, we headed for the reception. The hotel was beautiful it was decorated with decorative rugs and wall hangings. Couches lined the walls with coffee tables full of magazines and books. Candles covered the mantel piece above the fire against one wall. A grand staircase sat behind the front desk. It was amazing.

We walked up to the desk. "Reservations under Clarke," Holly said to the receptionist.

The girl behind the desk handed over two keys with the room numbers on then, she was young maybe a couple of years older than me, she very pretty too. I picked up one key and Holly the other. "The rooms are on the second floor," the girl smiled. I saw her eyes quickly flicker to Josh who stood behind me before she turned back to the computer on her desk.

I flicked my eyes to behind me and saw Josh staring at the girl. I could tell what was running through his mine. He suddenly rested his hand on the top of the desk. When he moved his hand away I saw a small piece of paper lying there where his hand once was. The girl's eyes flicked up and she smiled when she saw the piece of paper. She picked it up and tucked it into her pocket. I couldn't believe what I had just seen.

"Holly where am I going to stay?" Josh asked Holly.

"Oh right. You're in Anna's room," Holly told us.

We both gasped. "No, no, no, we cannot stay together," I shouted at Holly.

"It's a twin bedroom don't worry," Holly sighed. "And Josh knows if he messes with you I'll kill him."

"Can't I stay with you Holly," I begged her.

"No! Ollie and I haven't had proper alone time in forever, we deserve it I think."

"Fine," I grumbled heading up the stairs to my room.

Josh followed quickly behind me. "I don't want this too," he said beside me. "But we have to get along for Holly."

"Fine," I said. I found our room and slid the key into the lock. The door swung open and we were surprise to what we found.
