Josh picked me up when he said and drove us back to his apartment. "So this is home," Josh said as he opened the front door of the apartment with one of my bags in his hand, I had my other two in my own.

I heard a high pitched bark as soon as I stepped inside. A small ball of fluff ran towards me and Josh, it threw itself onto Josh when it saw him standing in the middle of the kitchen we had just entered. Josh bent over to pick up the small ball of fluff and held it tightly in his arms. "This is Lux, she's five months I found her on the side of the road in a box last month and I kind of had to adopt her."

"She's gorgeous," I smiled as I saw the little dog in his arms, I could never imagine a big, strong man like Josh holding a tiny dog in his arms but he looked good. "What breed is she?"

"She's a golden retriever."
"Are you even allowed to have pets in the condo?"

"No, but I talked to the landlord and he said it was fine because he knew that she was just left on the side of the road, he felt sorry for her so he let me keep her.

"Does he know about me?" I suddenly asked wondering if it was okay for me to be living with him.

"Yeah its fine, I told him that you were my girlfriend and needed a place to live, he said you have to pay half the rent."

"Okay that's fine," I sighed. I couldn't believe I was finally here in Josh's house and I was going to be living with him.

"You'll take my bedroom while you stay here, I'll be good on the couch," he told me as he led me through to the living room where a large couch sat in front of the TV and next to a recliner that looked especially comfortable.

"No, I can't let you do that, this is your house after all, and I'll take the couch."

"I won't let any wife of mine sleep on the couch," he said putting the little dog on the ground so it could run around. "Let's halve it. I sleep on the couch for one week, then you do and so on."

"I could do that," I smiled. I looked around the living room, it had light cream walls which were accented by the dark couches and curtains but the room felt cosy, like I could imagine myself sitting here with Josh watching a film in the evenings. It was a thought that I shouldn't have had but I did for some strange reason.

"My bedroom is through here," Josh pointed towards the door on the right. When he opened it, it led to a set of stairs which we climbed with a ball of fluff following us behind. At the top of the stairs was a beautifully decorated bedroom. One walls was just clear glass windows which over looked a small lake and forest. The rest of the walls were painted a warm dark grey, the bed naturally took the centre of the room. It was very large and you could definitely fit more than two people in it. "I tidied up before you came, I'm not the cleanest of people."

"I'm not either," I smiled completely agreeing with him. "This place is amazing, how did you afford it?"

"My parents knew the landlord, so he gave me a discount on the place"

"Lucky you."

We stood in his bedroom quietly for a moment before he broke the silence. "I'll go and get your stuff so you can settle in. I cleared some space in the closet, so hopefully there will be enough room for your stuff."

"Okay, thank you." I nodded towards Josh. He quickly left the room, leaving me alone in silence. It felt weird being here with him, my husband. I felt so awkward around him, in this house. I really didn't know how I was going to survive the next few months together.

Josh came back a few minutes later with my luggage but didn't say anything to me as he settled it on the floor by the bed.

I started unpacking straight away. I managed to fit all my clothes in his closet, just. Once I had finished I headed downstairs to the living room, the whole apartment was silent. I couldn't find Josh anywhere. The only noise came from the fluff ball that kept trying to bite my ankles.

"It looks like it's just you and me, Fluff," I sighed picking up the little dog. I switched on the TV and sat on the couch with the dog in my arms. She kept on trying to climb all over me and lick my face, "You're cute Lux and I think you're going to be the only thing that gets me through the next six months," I sighed to the little dog. She looked at me like she understood what I was feeling and it gave me a little bit of strength.

I was late when I heard the front door slamming shut. I had just got off the phone with Mom to tell her I was staying with a friend for tonight, I would tell her tomorrow that I was moving into my supposedly college room. I heard a high pitched giggling coming from the kitchen so I got up from where I had been sitting on the couch for the last couple of hours.

I headed towards the kitchen where the noise came from. There in the kitchen was Josh with girl pressed up against the wall kissing her like he had gone without water for days, to be honest I wasn't surprised to see this.

"Who's this?" I asked sickly sweet.

Josh pulled away from the girl and stared at me looking at little lost. Only then did I realise that he was drunk. "I'm Missy, you are?" she smiled at me as she ran a hand down Josh's chest towards his package.

"I'm his wife," I stated calmly. I watched as her jaw dropped open.

"Well you mustn't be good in bed if he went out looking for sex," she commented.

"Oh I'm amazing in bed, just this morning he was begging me to take him, but I told him no because I was feeling sick, our baby is due in just six months. I can't wait."

The look on her face was priceless. "Then why did he go out?"

"Because he's a horny bastard," I sighed, "Plus he makes he makes stupid mistakes when he's drunk like tattoo my name on his chest and not using a condom, he does that a lot, no wonder I'm pregnant."

"Are you serious?" the girl questioned shocked.

"Check his chest." I told her. Josh had been quiet the whole time we had been talking, only when I turned to him I realised that he had fallen asleep at the table with Lux in his arms. I watched as the girl walked over to him and pulled up his t-shirt, she saw the script written on his chest and turned to face me. "Please leave, I need to get my husband to bed."

The girl immediately left the apartment and I headed up to bed leaving Josh sitting at the table. He deserved to be left there after leaving me here alone. Lux followed me upstairs to the bedroom and hopped onto the bed. I quickly changed into my nightshirt and the climbed into bed myself.
