Run Away for my Baby

Chapter Nine

I greeted Holly and Ollie both with hugs, I hadn't seen them in a couple of weeks and since the last time I saw Holly her pregnant belly had grown a lot. She had a beautiful glow on her face, it almost made me jealous. I wanted that with someone.

"The pizzas should be arriving shortly, so why don't you go and put on a movie Baby," Josh said to me giving me a kiss on my forehead, I blushed lightly at the gesture.

It always felt nice when Josh called me 'Baby' or 'Babe', we hardly ever called each other anything else unless we were in an argument then the nasty nicknames came out but we always made up before the end of the day. I hated going to bed angry.

I headed into the living room with Holly, while Josh and Ollie stayed in the kitchen getting beers for themselves. I sat on the couch next to Lux, who had grown massively in the last few months, she now took up a large percentage of the couch. Holly sat down on the other couch that Josh and I had recently bought because more often than not Josh would have one of his friends over and they needed a place to sit.

"How are you and Josh?" Holly asked with a smile on her face.

"We've been arguing a lot recently," I sighed.

"That's normal for most couple, Ollie and I argue a lot too. But we always make up at the end of each day no matter what."

"Yeah we do too but sometimes it's hard to."

"I know but in a good relationship you work through any problems you have-" She was interrupted by the boys entering the room.

Josh and Ollie joined us on the couches. As soon as Josh sat down he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me against his chest. God, he was so warm and cosy. "Mmmh," I hummed against him.

"What were you girls talking about?" Josh asked, squeezing me against him.

"Nothing much, just talking about the baby," Holly rubbed her belly. I couldn't wait for it to be born, I loved my nephew, Jamie, and so I knew I'd love their next baby.

We spent the evening watching movies and talking. Lux had fallen asleep on the couch, I could Holly was getting tired as well, I knew that she wanted to go to bed.

Around eleven thirty, Holly yawned and Ollie noticed. "We should probably get going," Ollie said.

"No don't, you can stay here tonight," Josh said sitting up pulling me with him. For the last few hours, Josh and I had been laying on the couch on the section where Lux wasn't sleep. My back had been to his front and his arm around my waist holding me to him. "You've had a few beers Ollie and Holly's too tired to drive."

"Are you sure? We can sleep on the couch," Ollie said.

"I'm not allowing Holly to sleep on the couch when she's pregnant, you guys can sleep in my bed."

"Thank you Josh," Holly smiled just before she yawned loudly.

"I should probably get going too," I said, trying to get off the couch.

"Baby, stay tonight. I want to cuddle," Josh said to me.

Both Holly and Josh stared at us. They didn't know that I lived with Josh, so I guess they were shocked to hear Josh's request of me staying the night.

"Okay Baby," I leant over and kissed him lightly. We only kissed when we were in with other people, we never kissed when we were alone.

"Let's head to be," Holly said to Ollie.

"Sure," he smiled back at Holly."

"Wait a minute," Josh replied. "Let me get something for me and Anna to wear."

"Okay," Ollie agreed, he then headed to the kitchen to call his mom, who was looking after Jamie, to tell her that he and Holly were staying the night.

As soon as Josh had headed upstairs Holly turned to me, "How often do you sleep over?"

"Um..." I replied.

"Quite a bit then," she stared at me.

"Maybe," I sighed.

"Are you being safe?" she asked. "You don't want to become a teenage mom like me."

"We're not even having sex," I told her.

"Really! Not even once?" she questioned.

"Not even once," I blushed at the lie had just told.

"Liar. When did you sleep with him?"

"A while ago but I regretted it straight away so we've put off having sex until I'm ready," I told her truthfully.

"Okay, just make sure when you do you have protection and you actually want to have sex with him."

"I will Holly, I won't make the same mistake again," I sighed.

A couple of seconds later Josh was in the living room handing me one of his t-shirts that I loved to sleep in and a pair of pyjama bottoms. "Thank you," I smiled at him.

"I'm heading to bed now," Holly told us. "When Ollie is finished, tell him to join me."

"I will," Josh said. "No sex in my bed please."

Holly laughed and so did I. "Night," she headed upstairs.

Josh and I sat on the couch awkwardly for a few minutes unsure what we should do. "Goodnight guys," Ollie said as he passed us to head upstairs. And then we were alone.

We lay down on the couch together. I was laying on top of Josh, so we could both sleep comfortably on the couch. It felt good to have him under me. We were silent for a few minutes before Josh ran a hand down my back. "I heard you and Holly talking. I regret sleeping with you too, I shouldn't have taken your virginity like that. If I could have I do over I would make it special, make sure we both wanted the same thing."

"Thank you Josh," I sighed. He kissed the top of my head where it rested on his chest. "You're a good man, whoever ends up with you is going to be one lucky girl."

That is the last thing we say to each other before we drift off into a peaceful sleep.
