It was Christmas Eve, Josh and I were spending the day with his family. I had only met his parents once and that was a couple of months ago. I liked them very much, they were really happy that Josh and I were together. Apparently I was the first girl that he had ever bought home, I kind of felt honoured.

We arrived early in the morning so we could spend as much time with them as possible. They greeted us with warm hugs and kisses. I was excited to spend the day with them.

At lunch, we had a Christmas dinner because Josh and I would be spending Christmas day with my family. In the evening both Josh and I had received present from his parents, I was shocked they had given me one but I was really happy with the scarf they had given me.

It was late when we headed off to my parents' house because we would be sleeping there tonight. Josh and I arrived around twelve fifteen in the morning, thankfully my parents were still awake so they let us in and told us to head off to bed. Mom and Dad allowed Josh and I to sleep in my old bedroom which I had missed very much since living with Josh. We snuggled up together in my old bed, we had to be closer to one another because it was so small. But I didn't mind one bit.

In the morning, I was woken by Jamie running around the house laughing and screaming for us to wake up. Of course I couldn't resist that little boy so I climbed out of bed with Josh and headed downstairs where the rest of my family was sitting by the Christmas tree. "Merry Christmas," Mom greeted us as we entered the living room.

"Merry Christmas," I hugged her. Josh pulled me down onto his lap on the floor and wrapped his arms tightly around me. I want to spend every Christmas like this with him, I suddenly thought. I leaned back against him. Yes, I definitely want this. I then surprised myself by turning to kiss Josh lightly on his lips. I had no idea when these feelings for him came about but I wanted more of him.

We quickly opened all of the presents under the tree, Jamie was definitely the most excited about the presents and I realised that I wanted this too one day.

Josh and I had bought each other presents as well. I bought him a few t-shirts and sweaters, a new watch that he had wanted for a long time and a pair of shoes. He had bought me a silver bracelet that I knew cost more than he was letting on, a couple of books and a camera because he knew how much I had wanted one. Together we bought Lux a new collar because she had outgrown her old one and a few bags of her favourite dog treats. I really loved that dog.

We had an amazing Christmas with our families. We had Christmas dinner around three in the afternoon which was amazing prepared by Mom with the help of both me and Holly. She thought it would be good for us to finally learn how to make a good dinner.

"So..." Mom said as we stood making the dinner. "You and Josh when are you getting married?"

I froze at what she had said. "Mom! We're not getting married!" I exclaimed.

"Why not? You've been together four months. Your father and I got married within three months of dating."

"We haven't even said 'I love you' to each other yet," I told her.

"Do you love him?" she asked.

"I haven't thought about it," I told her truthfully. Did I love Josh? I questioned myself, I couldn't, no way.

"I've seen the way he looks at you Anna, he definitely loves you," she told me as she seasoned the turkey.

"Maybe," I sighed. "I like him a lot." I really had no idea how I felt for him. We had gotten closer over the last few months but we argued a lot very intensely. I didn't love him that was sure however did Josh love me, he couldn't, he hated me. I'm so confused.

"You should take to him about it," she said.

"I will," I sighed as thoughts ran through my head.

In the evening, we sat in the living room watching Christmas films as a whole family. I was snuggled up to Josh on the floor in between his legs. His arms were wrapped tightly around me and his chin resting on my head. It felt so good to be in this position with him.

Jamie had fallen asleep a little while ago on top of Lux who had taken a fondness to him, they lay by the roaring fire. Ollie and Holly were on the couch, Ollie's hand stroking Holly's giant belly, which could easily burst at any second, even though they had another two months to go.

Mom and Dad sat on the other couch, Mom's legs over Dad's. They looked happy sitting there together still in love after so many years, even after their time apart when I was growing up. That was true love.

"I'm going to get a glass of water," I whispered to Josh. For some reason I felt a little tearful at the scene in the living room. Everyone was happy in love, except me and well Josh. I wanted to find someone who could love me. Only two more months to go before I'm free.

I grabbed glass of water and stood in the middle of the kitchen looking out onto the snow cover grass outside. It was beautiful. "You know you're standing under the mistletoe?" I heard a husky voice coming from behind me.

I turned to face the Josh, who stood less than a foot away from me. "Hey," I smiled shyly.

"Hey Baby," he looked up at the mistletoe above both our heads. "I'd better follow tradition."

He then leaned in and kissed me. I didn't object to it, I wanted this at that moment. I kissed him back with as much passion as he was giving. The feel of his hands on my cheeks as he kissed me sent shivers down my back. I could never get enough of this. I wanted him.

"Merry Christmas Baby," he muttered against my lips as we broke apart to take a breath. He then leaned forward and reconnected our lips again.
