Chapter 32

Veronica's POV

It's feels so good to be in his arms again.

"Who's this?" Blake asks as he pulls away from our hug.

"This is my best friend Dakota. Dakota, this is my brother Blake" I introduce them and they shake hands.

"Where Hope and Ethan? I heard they came to town for Digi" Blake says as he enters the house.

"We're not friends anymore..." I say quietly and trail off. I look at the ground.

"I'm sorry" he says and hugs me again.

"It's okay" I say and smile at him.

"Woah dude what happened to you?" Blake asks looking at Dakota's beaten up face.

"Fight" Dakota simply says.

"With?" Blake asks. God this boy is so nosey.

"Um-" Dakota starts but I cut him off.

"It was some guy that was walking, he came to me and started flirting with me and Dakota fought him for me. Dakota won but he got beaten pretty bad" I lie. I feel terrible lying to my brother but he'll get angry and go all brother crazy and ask me why they fought and then he'll kill Ethan and Grayson for what they did to me.

"Oh. Well thanks bro. You have earned my respect" he says patting Dakota's back. He laughs nervously. They both go to the living room while I go to the Kitchen to cook some food. While cooking, I hear the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it!" I hear Blake yell to me and I continue what I was doing.

"Blake?" I hear a familiar voice ask.

"Ethan! Grayson! What's up dudes!" I hear Blake say. I freeze. Why the fuck are they here? I quickly go to the living room without being seen and see Dakota pacing back and forth, running his fingers through his hair and jaw clenched.

"Dakota calm down" I say and put my hands on his shoulders.

"Why the fuck are they here?! Wasn't it bad enough they beat me up and slapped you?" He whisper yelled. I shook my head.

"I don't know why there here but I don't want them to see you and go crazy on you" I whisper to him. He nods and I push him to the backyard without anyone noticing. I walk to the main hall to see Ethan and Grayson in the door way while Blake had his back to me. Ethan and Grayson noticed me and I gave them both death glares. Blake noticed them tense up and he turned around.

"Hey Veronica! Look who's here!" He says and gestures to them.

"So I heard" I say and cross my arms.

"Okay then........ Would you guys like to come in?" Blake asks. Damn you Blake.

"Um actually I was about to go somewhere" I say. Blake gives me a confused look.

"But I thought you were cooking" he says confused. Shit! I left the stove on! I quickly ran to the kitchen to see my steak on fire!

"SHIT" I scream and run around looking for the fire extinguisher. The guys run in, including Dakota, and start panicking too. I finally find the extinguisher in a closet and I put out the fire.

"Looks like we don't have food now. I'll go get some. Come on Dakota. We'll be back in like an hour and I'm only bringing enough food for 3 people so you 2 better be gone by the time I get back" I say pointing to Ethan and Grayson. I grab Dakota's hand and we walk out the house.

"You got me out of there right on time. I was about to beat the shit out of Grayson" Dakota says.

"I could tell and I was about to beat the living shit out of them both so I decided to leave." I said as we entered my car.

"So you started the fire on purpose?" Dakota asks.

"No, that was a complete accident that could have went terribly wrong but luckily didn't. At least it gave us an excuse to leave" I say backing out the drive way. He nods and we keep talking.

We went to the mall and got some Taco Bell for the three of us. I also went to a few stores to give Ethan and Grayson a little more time to leave my house.

I am currently pulling into my driveway.

"Okay we're here and let's hope the doofus twins aren't" I say as we get out the car. Dakota nods and we enter the house. It's quiet in here. Too quiet......

"SURPRISE ATTACK!" I hear Blake yell and all of a sudden, there is water all over me and I'm soaked but luckily Dakota was behind me with the food so he and the food survived. I look to see Blake laughing with Ethan and Grayson. Why are they still here?

"What the hell Blake? And why are they still here!?" I whine.

"Sorry sis, I couldn't miss the opportunity and they didn't want to leave" he says. I groan.

"Fine but you two are the ones starving" I say and start walking up the stairs to change my clothes. I quickly change into some shorts and a t-shirt. I put my hair into a ponytail and then I realize something.

My phone! Shit!

I quickly ran over to my pants and pulled out my phone. Fuck! It's all wet and destroyed! Thanks a lot Blake! Looks like I'm getting a new phone.

I changed again but this time into some jeans and I just left my t-shirt and hair alone. I walked downstairs to see all the guys eating. Even the twins.

"Okay I know I didn't buy enough food for all of you." I say while walking over to them. I look into the bag to see its empty.

"Are you fucking kidding me right now?! This is the worst day ever! I'll be back" I say while putting on my white converse.

"We're sorry we ate your tacos. I'll come with you to buy more" Grayson say standing up. That is so not happening.

"You are not coming with me. I haft to go to the mall anyway to BUY A NEW PHONE!" I yell at Blake.

"Sorry" he says and looks at his taco.

"Apparently everyone is sorry today for MANY different things!" I say and give Ethan and Grayson a glare.

"But whatever. I'm going to the mall alone. Take my mind off of things" I say. I walk over to Dakota and bend down to his ear.

"Try to not beat the shit out of them while I'm gone and if you can't control yourself, just walk outside and call me." I whisper so only he hears. He nods and I straighten up.

"See you in another hour" I say and walk out the door.

Why can't this day just end already?!
