Steve was asleep in his apartment when he heard his phone ring. Seeing as it was three in the morning, he was hoping it wasn't Fury asking him to go out on a mission.

"Hello?"

"Hey Steve. it's Natasha."

"Nat? It's three in the morning."

"I figured. It's afternoon here in Australia."

"Well, s there anything you needed?"

"Not really. Just laying on my hotel room bed bored. Thought to myself "I wonder what Cap is doing"."

"Cap is trying to sleep."

"So you've said. How was your day?"

Inwardly sighing, he indulged her.

"Worked with some of the new recruits. Taught them some fighting tactics."

"Fury must be relieved to know you're helping out with the training."

"I'd imagine."

"What else did you do?"

"Paperwork. Most of it yours. Again."

He heard her chuckle. "Sorry."

"Are you?"

"A little."

"What about you?"

"Went to the opera house. Got kicked out for not having a ticket."

"Why didn't you buy a ticket?"

"It's more cost efficient sneaking in."

"Except then you wouldn't get to enjoy the show. You'd be kicked out."

"Can't win them all, I suppose."

Steve nodded sleepily. "Well, Nat, it's late. I'm gonna go."

"...oh. Ok."

He heard the obvious disappointment in her voice. Disappointment and something else. It had been a week since she went to Australia. She must be feeling lonely.

"Actually, I think I can stay for awhile longer."

"Cool. What do you want to talk about?" she asked, sounding much chipper.

"What did you do with the money you didn't spend on a ticket?"

"A nice lunch. Panfried fish and chips."

"Sounds good."

"It was, Steve. When I get back, me and you are going back there."

"Why would you come back to New York just to drag me over to Australia?"

"True. How about you fly over tomorrow?"

"I'm not su-"

"Come on, Steve. When did you last take time off?"

Steve thought to himself. "You got me there."

"Exactly. I expect you here tomorrow, Cap. If you aren't here, I won't ever forgive you."

"Alright, alright. I'll be there."

"Yay! Can't wait."

"If I'm flying tomorrow, I'd like to get at least some sleep, so I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright, Steve. Goodnight."

"Goodnight." and Steve hung up. Intending to go back to sleep, he awoke five minutes later.

"Yes, hello. I'd like to book a ticket to Sydney, Australia please."
