"...and then it should stabalize the energy and produce a safe window for us to see the future." Tony stated and turned around to see the soldier look like he had spaced out. "Hey!"

Steve snapped out of his daze when he heard Tony.

"What's the last thing you heard me say?" the inventor asked.

"Something about showing me a machine." Steve answered.

Tony sighed. He should have known better than to explain science to Steve even though the soldier had done a great job with catching up to things. Advanced physics must not have been reached on the book pile yet.

"So, what does this thing do?" Steve asked as he gazed at the machine.

"It'll let us see the future." Tony answered simply.

"You sure that's a good idea?"

"I don't know about you but I want to see if I'm still good looking in a few years. You got to experience time change first hand. I want to at least see what things will be like in a few years."

"Time change might not be as great as you think, Tony." Steve advised.

"Still, wouldn't you like to know if your version of America ever comes to life? Or if you raise beautiful and heroic babies?"

Steve looked a little curious at the last comment. He was curious to know if he would have any children and what they would be like. But the thought of knowing something he shouldn't was the part that was holding him back.

"At least see if you have future golden children." Tony insisted.

"Alright." Steve agreed.

"Excellent. Jarvis, get the others here! They need to see this."

"Yes, sir." the AI replied as Tony began to get things ready.

About two minutes later, the others Avengers appeared.

"What's going on?" Natasha asked. "Jarvis said you had something important to show us."

"I do." Tony replied as he finished connecting the last wire. "This little beauty is going to show us our futures."

"What?!" Clint exclaimed. "You can't be serious."

"I am." Tony replied as he began to fiddle with buttons. "We're all going to see if we have kids, if we've become even bigger heroes and all that good stuff."

"You sure we should know stuff like that?" Bruce asked.

"I want to know." Tony said. "I know that Pepper is the only one I'm going to be with. I'd at least like to know how many kids I'm going to have that are going to make me feel old."

"Too late." Clint teased.

"Alright, alright. Anyone who wants to see what their future holds, stay and watch."

"I think I'll sit this one out." Bruce said and made his way out of the lab.

"Anyone else?"

Silence.

"Ok. Ready or not, here we go." Tony said and pulled a lever.

A bright light caused everyone to shield their eyes and a loud POP was heard before the light slowly faded.

"What happened?" a voice asked.

Steve opened his eyes and was stunned to see three teenagers standing a few feet away. Looking as dazed as the Avengers were.

"Who are you three?" Tony questioned. This caused the two boy and one girl to whirl around, weapons ready.

One most noticably, a hologram version of a certain super soldiers shield.

"Hey, where'd you get that?!" Tony demanded.

"None of your business." the red haired teen replied.

"It's just that...it looks like the shield belonging to my friend Captain America." Tony said.

"How do you know my dad?!" the teen demanded.

Four sets of wide eyes snapped to Steve's direction. The super soldier himself looked like he had just been caught in headlights as he stared at the teen.

It was then that everyone noticed that the super soldier and the teen shared a resemblance in appearance. Really the only different was the hair color.

"Tell us who you are or face the wrath of the daughter of Thor!" the blond girl declared as she held her sword ready.

This time, all eyes went to Thor who looked like he had been hit with his own hammer.

"Hey, maybe you two should shut up now." the third teen said. "Don't they look familiar to you?!"

The two looked at the five but their eyes went to Tony.

"Tony?" the girl said.

"The one and only. Who are you?"

"I am Torunn. Explain why you look so young and who these people are."

Clint almost laughed but remained collected.

"This is Tony young? Missy, where did you come from?"

"What year is it?" the third teen asked, his eyes on Clint.

"2014." Natasha answered.

"Uh oh."

"Why? What's going on?" Tony asked.

"Well, we don't want to say much," the third teen stated. "But we know Tony from a few years ahead of the current time. He's kinda like our mentor."

"Mentor?! ME?!" Tony exclaimed.

"What are your names?" Thor asked the other two.

"I'm James Rogers."

"I'm Francis Barton."

"Oh boy." Clint muttered.

Throughout the day, the three teens quickly learned who the people were. It hadn't taken long for Steve, Clint and Thor to adopt fatherly airs. It also seemed that the three teens were a little overly accepting seeing their future father's.

Naturally, Tony had asked the names of their mother's but the three knew better than to answer. Until Tony brought up logic that made it easier for the three to question if they should say who their mothers are or not.

"I'm just saying," Tony said. "We could fall for the next woman we lay our eyes on and assume they are the one we are meant to be with."

"Now I know where Pym gets his tricks." Francis muttered. "Fine. My mother's name is Bobbi Morse."

"Mockingbird?!" Clint exclaimed in surprise.

"I take it you already know her." Tony mused.

"Yeah, he does." Natasha answered with a smirk.

"My mother is Lady Sif. Queen of Asgard." Torunn said.

"Sif?" Thor repeated though not sounding very surprised.

"And...my mom...is you." James said pointing timidly at Natasha.

"WHAT?!" Tony and Clint exclaimed with grins. Steve and Natasha both shared looks of surprise and shock.

"Well, it explains why the son of Rogers has Lady Natasha's hair." Thor said.

Tony chuckled loudly.

"Oh man, this kid made the rest of my life!" he exclaimed.
