Michael

I knock on the bathroom door again. Calum had been in there for more than five minutes now and I was growing impatient. I had let him have his time alone but now he just needed to get out. I couldn't believe what was happening. I couldn't believe that him and Karlie...

No

I can believe it. Calum had always wanted her and the first chance he got he would try and steal her away from Luke. He's got to realize soon that Luke is Karlie's soul mate, that's what I think anyway. Actually that's what I used to think. Now I have no idea. I am as confused about this as anyone else and to be honest I really need Calum to explain it to me some more. It will be an uncomfortable, tense filled chat that I really wish I didn't have to have but it needs to happen. I need to know what the hell actually happened. How could they both just keep it from Luke? All these years and they haven't said a thing. I wanted to know more but Calum has fucking locked himself in the bathroom.

"Calum," I whisper into the wood of the door again. "Get out." I say as loudly I could whisper. I didn't need this waking up Luke and Bella. I really didn't need Luke to be awake right now. "Calum." I whisper again and there was no response. "This is so stupid."

"Please go away." I hear Calum say breathlessly.

"What are you even doing?" I look up the dark hallway to Bella and I's bedroom. The light was on inside it but she clearly had no idea any of this was going on. "Get out my bathroom."

"It's my bathroom too." The volume of Calum's voice goes up and the tone turns harsh.

"Right, right," I say quietly. "Not so loud, okay?"

"Why not?" His volume goes up again. "Why the hell not?"

"Because Luke and Bell are trying to sleep." I explain, casting an eye to the light under Bella's door again. "Just get out and we can talk some more yeah?"

"I'm not coming out Michael." Calum says solemnly.

"What?" I suppress a laugh. "You gonna sleep in the tub?"

"No," Calum says quietly. "I'm... I'm..." Calum trails off and I hear a crash from inside the bathroom. Then Calum burst into tears from inside. I didn't have any idea what was going on.

"Calum get out," I say impatiently. "You're drunk, tired and upset." It was the only reason he told me anything he did tonight. It was the only reason he was acting like this tonight. He was a complete and utter mess right now. He was acting like a teenager.

"I d-don't... don't w-wanna..." Calum manages out through cries.

The light in Luke's room flickers on. Oh, great. That's just who needs to be here right now. Luke fucking Hemmings, coming to save the day. If Calum says anything to him about Karlie then Luke will lose it. He will go crazy and Calum will know longer be breathing. Luke's door cracks open slight. It was right next to the bathroom. After the noise that came from inside I'm not surprised he is awake.

"What is he doing now?" Luke and I lock eyes and his have a look of exasperation. I can't blame him.

"He won't come out of the bathroom." I move away slightly from the door. I was trying to make sure that Calum didn't know I was talking to Luke. I don't think that would go over too well.

"Maybe if I let him take a swing at me he will?" Luke suggests with a slight grin.

I give him a pointed look. "I doubt it will help."

Luke shrugs. "I think I deserve it."

You deserve it? I probably shouldn't judge so much but in all honesty after Calum and Karlie have kept their dirty little secret hidden from Luke for so long I feel like Calum deserves a punch just as much as Luke does. How does that type of shit to their best friend?
