Luke

I will admit every bad thing I have ever done to Karlie. At the top of the list will be running away when she told me she was pregnant. Fighting with Calum hurt her as well. When we were seven I convinced her that I was only her imaginary friend until she started to cry. I once cut off a chunk of her hair because Michael dared me. I forgot her birthday when she turned eleven. When we were twelve I made a pathetic comment about her not having a dad during the middle of us fighting. I didn't ask her to our first high school dance because Michael and Calum told me it would be cooler if we went solo for it. I would annoy her, start fights, sometimes get too protective, make her cry and just be the person that definitely never deserved her to ever look my way. However, with all that said I have never ever cheated on her. I have never even thought about another girl when I was with Karlie because I was so utterly in love with her. I thought she was in love with me too. I was wrong though. I was so fucking wrong.

Not only did Karlie just cheat one me but she had sex with my best friend. She had sex with her best friend's boyfriend. Does she not realize how many people she could... no has hurt by doing this. She ruined Calum ad Becca's relationship, therefore also damaging Talia's chance at having as normal a family she could have. She put her and Becca's friendship on the line and could've totally jeopardised that if she ever told her. She has then went and made it even worse by remaining silent about it for two years, whilst her best friend has had the baby of the guy she cheated on me with. What the fuck was Karlie thinking? I have never thought of Karlie as stupid, selfish or irresponsible. I was led to believe that was me in the relationship, I was supposed to be the flawed one. I guess I was wrong, I guess I felt the wrong thing.

Now what am I supposed to do? I'm not leaving again, I'm not walking out on her again. I have to stick by her now. I want my son knowing me, and I want him to have both his parents but Karlie has done something so cruel and hurtful and then continued on with life as if it was nothing. How can I trust her? How are we supposed to raise a child together when we were never in the stable relationship we were supposed to be in?

I have to calm myself down before Karlie gets into my car. I can't be a hyperventilating mess when she gets in. No way would I be able to take her to her appointment and no way would she let me get away with saying 'it's nothing'. She would assume this was about the baby, and it isn't. Its about her. It's about her stupidity.

Her text comes through to my phone. She'll be right down. I have about two minutes to control myself. Last night never happened and I don't know what Calum told me. I don't know anything. I am back to my ignorant ways. Except that's difficult since I can't forget and unlike Calum , last night was clear and sharp for me. I won't forget last night. It's better I just control myself and not let Karlie know about my new found knowledge. She doesn't need it today.

The gate to her building opens, catching my eye. I quickly snap my head up, my eyes settling on her immediately. After last night she has completely changed for me. She looks so different, something was missing. Of course she is constantly changing these days. I still can't believe how big she got since I left. Six months. She's been pregnant for six months. It must get tiring now, mustn't it? I feel my heart thumping in my chest as she smiles at me from outside the car. I felt kind of sick now. I wish I didn't have to do this. No, I wanted to do this. I just wish I didn't have to feel this way. I wish Calum never told me.

"Hey Luke," Karlie says to me in her sweet voice as she sits herself down in my car. I feel myself tighten my grip on the wheel, to the point my knuckles turned white. I should probably reply.

"Hi." Is all I say back with a glum tone. I don't even bother looking at her. I'm not doing a good job at hiding my feelings from her.

"You okay?" She was trying to sound optimistic but I could still hear a bit of worry in her voice.
