I kept myself busy all day, by some miracle. I did washing I'd been meaning to do for days, cleaned up my room, washed dishes that were starting to pile up, went for a walk, took photos on my walk – which couldn't even compare to the ones that I'd taken of Jake – before ending up on the couch completely bored.

I flicked through the channels on the TV, stopping on a re-run of Gossip Girl.

I leaned my head back against the couch, unable to hear any sounds from the studio. It had been dead silent in there all day; my guess was that Jake had shut the recording booth door. It wasn't fair that he could lock himself away like that and I was so affected by it.

The more I thought about it the angrier I became, it was pathetic. I was pathetic. How could I let one guy dictate my emotions so much? I'd been so happy yesterday, yet today because Jake was being cold towards me I was completely miserable. It was sad that I was letting him affect me significantly.

The doorbell rang out through the house, pulling me from my thoughts and reminding me that I was sitting here watching Gossip Girl. I waited a couple of moments, wondering if Jake was going to get the door. It would be for him. Then I remembered he was in the sound booth, so he probably couldn't hear the doorbell.

I turned the tv off, before getting up from the couch and walking to the front door. I pulled it open, finding Caleb standing on the porch. He had his head in his phone; his blonde hair falling around his face and making him look innocent. Yet I knew that couldn't have been further from the truth.

He looked up to me as I leaned against the door, wondering what he was doing here. His warm brown eyes swept over me, taking me in before a smile broke out across his face. I shifted my weight to my other foot, slightly uncomfortable due to the approving look on his face.

"Those are some nice jeans," Caleb grinned, looking down at my hips before meeting my eyes again.

"You're such a sleaze," I rolled my eyes, walking away from the open door.

"I like to think that I just appreciate women more than others," he chuckled, stepping inside and closing the door after his self. His laugh made my stomach do a flip, it was a perfect sound but it wasn't the same as hearing Jake laugh.

I watched Caleb as he shrugged his thick black winter coat off, reminding me just how cold it was outside. It was growing dark outside, which meant the temperature was definitely dropping. No one had warned me how cold it would be in England, so my clothes weren't nearly thick enough for this below freezing weather.

Caleb was wearing black skinny jeans, making me wonder if that was the bands uniform because it was all Jake seemed to wear, and a plain black t-shirt. It was strange; his all black outfit was insanely hot. It made his blonde hair stand out even more and give him a boyish charm. Damn Caleb, and every other boy in the band, for being so damn good looking.

"Where's Jakey boy?" Caleb asked, walking around me and opening a cupboard that was opposite to the staircase. He hung his coat up, before closing the door and turning to look at me. I raised my eyebrows at him; unable to hide my smile at the name he had for Jake.

"He's in the studio," I nodded my head towards the closed door, wondering if Jake had invited Caleb over.

Caleb looked over to the closed door, his eyebrows pulling together before he looked back down to me. God was he tall, so tall that I had to crane my neck in order to look up at him; and he was an arms length away from me.

"He's just left you out here, alone?" Caleb asked sounding almost annoyed. I knew that was impossible, Caleb wouldn't care how Jake treated me. I was their employee, not their best friend.
