Weeks passed and the hype after the championship that we got against UST is slowly subsiding. People still congratulate us in our social media accounts and in person. Kiefer, being the Phenom and all, siya laging iniinterview. He is always being asked kung saan siya mageenroll, when he said that his loyalty belongs to Katipunan, naging talk of the town na naman siya. He really likes attention but he's humble enough to know when attention is needed and when it's not.
We passed the ACET naman na so enrollment na lang yung problem but still a lot of schools are courting us para dun mag-aral sa kanila like UST, DLSU, and UP.
Ako: Bro, lakas maka-showbiz ng sagot mo dun sa interview ah.
Kiefer: Hahah well, ganon talaga hahah joke lang, bro. Anyways mag-enroll na tayong tatlo next week para wala nang problem when the training for the RP Team starts.
Yep, read it right. Kiefer, Von, and I, got chosen to be part of the RP Team na ipapadala sa L.A para mag-train for the games sa Japan naman.
We've been part of the team naman ever since so kaunting adjustments na lang yung kailangan.
Von: Wow! Mr. Ravena is being a role model to others. Great job Kiefy Boy.
Pang-aasar ni Von kay Kief, binatukan naman ni Kief si Von.
Kiefer: Talunin mo na lang muna ako Von.
Naglalaro kasi sila ng 2k11. We're here at Kief's house hanging out. Nanonood lang ako sa kanila since dalawa lang yung controller so change the loser na lang daw. Puro trash talks and asaran lang nangyari sa amin maghapon.
We also played basketball sa court nila Kief with Thirdy, Kief's younger brother. Even Tito Bong played with us. Close families naming tatlo and we're the best friends talaga kaya ganon.
After a week, sinunod namin yung suggestion ni Kiefer na magenroll na. We also have a course in mind na, I'm gonna take BS Psychology because I'm half- hearted pa if I'm gonna pursue law or medicine.
I drove to Ateneo and nung naka-park na ako, I texted Kief and Von.
Waiting for their reply, I decided to go sa canteen para kumain and tumambay. May mga nakakasalubong ako who recognize me and ask me for a picture and autograph which I gladly accepted.
Nahihiya nga ako eh. I'm not really comfortable with too much attention. Okay na ko na na-aappreciate nila yung efforts ko to perform well for the school and isa pa team effort naman yun.
On my way sa canteen, I can't help but notice a girl who's looking lost. I observed her first before approaching her. She's really pretty, by the way. She's wearing a CSA shirt with her pants and Vans, medyo petite din siya and ang puti niya. She's holding a map also which I think is the map of our university tapos palingon lingon pa siya and naka-pout pa. Sobrang cute niya with her forehead creased and her eye glasses. Hindi ko na napigilan kaya lumapit na ako sa kanya.
Ako: Uhmm. Excuse me, miss. I can't help but notice you po kanina pa. Are you lost?
She looked up at me and I swear my heart skipped a beat. Ang gay man ng dating pero it's true. I smiled at her waiting for her to talk.
Girl: I.. well, I'm a bit lost. I can't seem to find the athletics office.
Ako: Oh, I suppose you're an athlete po.
Girl: Uhmm yes. Actually I'm a volleyball player. And, please wag mo na akong i-po, I believe we're the same age naman.
Ako: Hahah sorry 'bout that. I just don't want to sound disrespectful or anything
