Happy Birthday to me!
I'm already 18 years old na in a few hours and I feel old hahah. The previous year is really good but this year I'm hoping for something better.
First birthday ko din na kasama ko si Dennise magcecelebrate as a special someone. Before kasi we're just friends and now it's different. Before din she just sent me a video greeting with the whole ALE that made me really happy.
Naalala ko tuloy yung sinabi niya sa birthday surprise and gift ko sa kanya. Nagpaalam naman ako sa parents niya bago ginawa yun and buti na lang they agreed.
FLASHBACK
Dennise: OH MY GOSHH! Aly! This is too much. Thank you sobra.
She said while hugging me and burying her head on my chest.
I gave her a necklace with her name on it pero before yun, we went out pa na plinano ko din. I also gave her blue tulips kasi napansin kong favorite niya talaga yun so everytime may special occasion or anytime may budget and time, I make sure na bibigyan ko siya ng tulips. Pero syempre ginawan ko din ng gimik yung blue tulips.
Kaya ganyan yung reaction niya ngayon, is because I asked the help of some of my friends to come up with a small flash mob outside the restaurant we're eating at.
Ako: Anything for you po, Boo.
I said and kissed her head.
Dennise: I'll get even with you. You should know that.
Ako: Hahah. Competitive as always, Ms. Lazaro.
Dennise: Well, Mr. Valdez, you're not the only one with tricks up his sleeves.
Ako: Anything from you, Dennise Michelle, is special for me. You do know that, right?
Dennise: But still, be ready Valdez.
I just smiled at her and spent the afternoon enjoying everything with her.

Right now, I'm here sa bahay namin as requested by my parents para daw sa birthday salubong. Tradition na din kasi 'to every year.
It's basically, a small gathering of people who I love and who are close to me ever since, waiting for my birthday.
May kantahan and kwentuhan and all that stuff. Naka-set up na nga yung karaoke eh and ready na lahat kumanta.
Kiefer and Von are here din together with their families, close na kasi parents namin kasi simula nung magstart kami sa Ateneo, we've been teammates.
I just wish that Dennise and her family's here as well but they can't be here because they have their bonding daw. Sila Tito Mike, pupunta ng Tagaytay while Dennise has her game. Although, I invited them naman weeks before pa.
I know that Dennise's tired from their SVL game kanina. I know, I was there kanina. Grabe yung laki ng improvement niya sa court. You can really see that she's pushing herself to be better. I watched their game and hinatid siya sa dorm before going here sa bahay.
Kiefer: Enjoying yourself, bro?
He asked when he saw me seated on our couch while the others are busy talking and preparing our meal.
Ako: Yeah.
I said plainly then I drank on my cup. We're allowed to drink po pero kapag may occasions lang and hindi naman kami party-goer masyado.
Kiefer: Spill it. Is it because Den is not here?
I sighed and looked at him.
Ako: Fine, it's because Den's not here. I just wished na macecelebrate ko yung birthday salubong ko for the first time with her.
Kiefer: Ang drama mo, dude. You know what, Oyens, you've changed a lot and the change did you good. Ang blooming mo grabe.
Ako: Whet can I say? Dennise has this certain effect on me that I really love.
Kiefer: You're one love sick puppy, bro.
Ako: Says the one who still can't get over his girl.
Natahimik si Kiefer at pati ako nagulat sa sinabi ko.
