Months passed and Dennise and I are more in love with each other. We always support each others endeavors and we give time for each other to breathe.
We give each other a time separated and be with our friends or family just so we don't get too boxed in our world, para hindi puro kami lang kasi baka masakal kami sa isa't isa. Although I know that I will never get tired of Dennise but as mature people in our 2nd year in college, we give high regards to priorities.
Kapag exams, focus lang talaga. Yung parang no calls or texts and no dates. We're satisfied with eating together during our breaks but after that, we're just reviewing for our exams. May break ng ilang minutes but we still push each other para mag-aral. We value education that much.
Hindi naman maiiwasan yung tampuhan and petty fights but we make sure that those unresolved issues are being resolved as soon as possible.
May selosan minsan, pero we both know na hindi totoo yung mga nalilink or nililink sa'min. People in the media just give a different meaning or color to things.
It never crossed my mind that media men would have something to do with my life because I'm just a basketball player but now, I know that they can ruin you or make you.
The stories about us are big deal for our supporters that's why as much as possible we try to hide from attention and try to live privately but today, is an exception.
We won the championship title kasi for the 5th time and mas dumami yung guestings and advertisements. And this day, is one of those days na I can't hide and mandatory na humarap sa media.
Magkasama kami ni Dennise ngayon mamaya pa kasi yung interview with Kiefer and the rest of the team.
We're watching a movie dito sa common room ng Eliazo with the other Lady Eagles. Nakaakbay ako sa kanya while she's hugging me sideways and nilalaro ko din yung kamay niya.
Speaking of Lady Eagles and Dennise, grabe yung pinakita nilang support during our championship match against FEU. They really watched all the four games. Umabot kasi sa do or die game since FEU and top seed and they have the twice to beat advantage over us na 3rd lang sa standings going into the finals.
Nagkainitan nga sa court eh and I didn't see that coming. Laro lang dapat pero biglang nagkasapakan at habulan sa loob ng court.
FLASHBACK
It was the 2nd game in the finals and the series is tied in one a piece and a team needs to get three wins to win the title.
It started during the awarding ceremonies when players who excelled throughout the season are being awarded. Isa isa kaming tinatawag para ma-recognize. Opo, kasama po ako, naka-tsamba ng award eh heheh.
I was in between Terrence Romeo and Kuya Nico Salva kay naririnig ko yung sagutan nila. We were all smiling pero asaran na talaga ginagawa nila. They're both trying to get in each other's nerves. From that moment, I know something's up pero hindi ko na lang masyadong pinansin.
But all that went wild and out of hand . It was during the half of the 3rd quarter after the monstrous dunk of Kuya Greg.
Everyone cheered and stood up after that dunk pero ang hindi nila alam, away from where the ball was, nagkabigayan na sila Kuya Nico and Terrence. I was guarded by RR Garcia that time and nakita ko kung paano binalya ng malakas ni Terrence si Kuya Nico.
We're up by 2 before the dunk in the crucial match who'll determine the team who'll get the advantage and upper hand in the competition.
Tumawag ako ng play for Kuya Nick pero hindi namin ma-execute kasi sobrang guarded siya ni Terrence kaya tumawag na lang ako ng ibang play. Nakita ko din na nagbubulungan sila and sobrang dikit talaga nila sa isa't isa.
