I sat alone in my room and just used my senses. I could smell the pot coming from the guest room where Adam was. Fall Out Boy was playing on my phone and I hummed to the beat. My eyes were fixated on the ceiling and my hands ran over the soft sheets where Danny should have been lying on. I could almost taste his sweet lips like he was kissing me. I missed him so much.
Without noticing, I was already walking to my car like my body was in power instead of my mind. Staring at the road ahead and not knowing where I was going, I just took the turns that felt right. No, I wasn't stoned. At least I don't think I was.
When I found myself at Danny's front door, ringing the bell, I knew I had fucked up majorly. What the hell was I thinking?
"Max?" Danny snapped his fingers in front of my face since I had just been standing there staring at him for a minute. "Are you okay?"
Danny only had a towel wrapped around his waist and his hair and body was wet. He looked hot as hell. No one else was home and he must have just gotten out of the shower to answer the door.
"Sorry." I said quietly.
"Come in, we can talk." He said. "I'll just go get changed."
I stepped into his house and walked toward to the living room. Sitting down on his couch, I gathered my jumbled thoughts and let out a heavy sigh.
Danny came downstairs slipping a shirt over his head and over his gorgeous abs. I was still quiet.
"So what's going on?" He asked as he sat down next to me.
"I don't know. I just don't know anymore."
"Well, you're obviously here for a reason, Max. You can tell me anything, okay?"
"I'm a fucked up person, Danny."
"You're not fucked up, Max. You're wonderful."
"No I'm not. I hurt people. That's just what I do. You should probably just stay away from me because I'm bad and I can't be fixed."
"And why do you think that?"
"Something happened to me when I was a kid and it really scarred me. Now I keep spiraling in and out of depression and it's bad. It's really bad, Danny."
"Do you want to talk about what happened?"
"I was raped and molested by my own father." I let out a shaky breath. "And it's still happening to this day."
