Things were the same. Only now I was more stressed out about college.
I sat in my room blasting Fall Out Boy on my phone while filling out college applications. My phone buzzed and I looked at it to see a message from Danny.
I'm at your front door. Let me in.
I shut off my music and rushed downstairs. When I opened the door, Danny hugged me tight and didn't let go. He was crying hard. I had never seen him like that before.
"Danny, baby, what's wrong?" I asked while rubbing circles into his back.
"My parents..." He sobbed into my shoulder. "They're getting divorced."
