I didn't go home. Instead I went to the football field and sat on the bleachers alone until the people started piling in. Nick plopped down next to me with a bright smile and nachos in his hands.

"I thought you might be here checking out the quarterback's booty." He smirked.

"Am not." I shied as my cheeks burned red.

"Don't worry, I have a certain linebacker I'm looking out for." He smirked and looked out to the field. "Man, I love football season. Tight pants, nice asses, and hot men. God bless America."

"I'm guessing you and Jake are getting along well."

"We finally had sex and oh my god was it hot. He was sweet and rough at the same time. And get this," he giggled. "He told me to call him Daddy."

"Gross. You don't need to tell me." I chuckled and shoved him away from me.

"I'm kidding. Anyway, have you left a love note in jocksrap's locker yet?"

"Can I be honest with you? You can't tell anyone though."

"As long as you don't tell anyone about Jake and I."

I leaned in close to his ear. "Danny and I have been seeing each other secretly for the past few months."

"Have you two done it?" He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively

"No. And I don't really think we need sex to be in a functioning relationship."

"Okay. I mean, I would have jumped on that the second he asked me out but whatever suits you."

"I want to though. Probably not anytime soon, but I feel like I can trust him enough."

"Then tell him that."

"Maybe I will. But right now I just have to figure what's going on with that Sydney girl."

"Sydney Theresa." He gasped. "Well, you better start writing out your will while you still can."

"Why?"

"The girl is the queen of bitches and whores. She's Danny's ex and is out to sabotage every single one of his relationships. Even if it's just someone remotely close to him."

"What's her problem?"

"He dumped her because she's a psychopath. And when she found out he was bi, she swore to never let him date anyone else but her."

"Wow. So I'm screwed basically."

"Not if you keep your relationship a secret."

"Good to know."

The game started and I watched as the players spread out onto the field. But I was only looking at number 1 who's ass looked amazing in those football pants. Nick was right, football was a great thing.

The game ended and we had won 32 to 14. I was excited to see Danny again to congratulate him.

I drove to his house, and got out of my car, positioning myself on his porch. I waited for his car to pull up in the driveway and I smiled.

"There's my sexy jock." I beamed. "How does it feel to keep the winning streak going for the undefeated Rams?"

"I thought you'd be mad at me for the whole Sydney thing earlier." Danny smiled as he locked his car.

"She wants to sabotage your relationships, I get it. See, us Cali boys aren't all dumb surfers."

"I never said you were. I'm just happy to see you." He kissed me passionately. "I have to shower though, I stink."

"Good, gives me time to snoop around your room to see what weird stuff you're into."

"There's no way in hell I'm letting you do that."

"Come on, 'Mr. Star Quarterback'. I'll order is Chinese and we can watch a movie."

"Okay." He kissed me again.

"But shower first. You really do stink."

"Thanks for the compliment."

"Anytime, babe." I beamed.
