*10 months later*
"Okay, read where we left of in Macbeth yesterday." I said to my boyfriend as we took out our books.
"Why don't we just skip straight to the part where we're making out." Danny chuckled, wrapping his arms around me from behind and kissing down my neck. "That's my favorite part."
"We have a test on this tomorrow and we're already behind, Danny." I shut my eyes, trying not to give in.
"But I have a whole two hours with you today. For one of them we can study and for the other, I can make you forget about being a complete and utter nerd."
I shook my head and pushed him off me. He had tried to pull that with me every time I came over. I guess we hand gotten to know each other pretty well in the past ten months because he almost convinced me.
"We're seventeen, we still have to graduate in order to be functioning human beings. We'll have plenty of time to make out after that." I said between shaky breaths.
"What? Are you going to pull that on me now? I've been kissing your sweet lips for the past ten months and boy, have I loved every single moment of it. And I know you have too."
I turned and straddled his waist, pressing my lips to his. He smiled against the kiss because he knew he'd won our little battle. Just as things got more heated, my phone started to ring.
"Don't answer that." Danny told me.
"I have to. The only one that ever calls me is my mom."
"Tell her that she's cock blocking me right now."
I rolled my eyes and got off the bed, answering my phone. "Hey, mom."
"Maxwell Christopher Evens, where the hell are you!?" She said in a vicious tone making me pale a bit.
"I told you, I have tutoring today." I said and started pacing around the room.
"Tutoring who?"
"One of the guys in my English class."
"You're coming home this instant! You're grounded! I will not have my son sneaking around meeting boys like a sinner!" She yelled and hung up.
Yes, that was my mother speaking. Ever since my father was incarcerated, she became more horrible with each passing day. She started going to church every Sunday and dragging me along with her, read from the Bible every day, and believed that I was going to hell for being gay. Can you believe that she once accepted me and loved me? Also, she blames me for every little thing. If she messes up dinner it's because "I was distracting her with my flamboyant speech and gay agenda" and she grounds me for no reason. I hated going home because I knew she would be there.
"Max, baby, you look like you're about to cry." Danny said.
"Because I am." I plopped down next to him. "She just grounded me for tutoring you."
"She's a crazy bitch."
"No shit, Danny. But I have to live with her." Tears rushed down my cheeks.
My boyfriend wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head while rubbing small circles into my back to calm me.
"I kept thinking that I'd be better of ending it but I didn't. I didn't because I always thought of you." I confessed and looked up at him through teary eyes. "You made everything better, Danny."
"You're going to get through this, baby. I'm here always when you need to get away."
I smiled at that. "Thank you."
"I wouldn't give you up for the world."
"I love you, Danny." I kissed him quick.
"I love you too, Maxy. Now go home before she forbids you from going outside completely. I'll call you later."
With one more kiss, I grabbed my things and drove home. Who knew what that crazy bitch was going to do to me when I got there?
