Chapter 34

"Max, get your ass out here! We have to leave in five minutes!" Danny banged on the bathroom door.

"I'll be out in a minute! Beauty takes a while!" I said and dipped my head under the water one more time before stepping out.

Quickly wrapping a towel around my waist, I opened the door and rushed into my bedroom. Danny walked in already fully clothed.

"God, you're so slow." He groaned.

"It's not my fault you had to stuck your dick in me this morning. Plus you take half an hour in the shower!" I said and threw a shirt on.

"Whatever, let's go."

We got into the car and Danny drove us to his father's house. I felt bad for getting mad at him so leaned over and kissed his cheek when we stopped.

Danny smiled. "What was that for?"

"Because I love you." I replied.

"I love you too, Maxy." He took my hand in his.

"You excited to finally see your family again?"

"Hell yeah. This is the one time I don't have to be surrounded by racist guys with southern accents that are always wrestling each other."

"Hey, Danny, wanna wrestle?" I mocked in a southern accent.

"Shut up!" He reached over and tickled my side.

"Stop it, you dickhead!!!" I giggled and squirmed around in the passenger side.

"I'll kick your ass!"

"Not before I kick yours!"

Danny tickled me more and I laughed uncontrollably. The car behind us beeped their horn and we were both still laughing as he started driving again.

I smiled. "You don't know how much I missed you. For the past few months I've been sitting in my apartment doing nothing but homework and essays. I haven't really talked to anyone other than your family."

"I missed you too, baby."

"I would kiss you passionately which will probably lead to other things, but I would rather not die in a car accident."

"Do you want me to pull over and we can go to the back?"

"Have we really sunk as low as resorting to car sex?"

"As long as I get the booty."

"God, you're so lame." I rolled my eyes and got into the back.

"Well, we're already an hour late and it hurts like hell to sit, so I think we've done good." I said after getting back into the passenger seat.

"Glad I could make it happen, baby." Danny winked at me and took a turn.

He pulled into the driveway and turned off the car. He got out and opened my door but it was taking me a minute. My legs wanted to give out so badly and there was literally a pain in my ass.

"You okay, baby?" My boyfriend asked.

"You know, sometimes I wish you didn't have such a huge dick so this wouldn't happen." I winced while getting out. "Wait, I take that back. Never mind."

"Damn, what happened to the shy boy that was so sensitive and loving just five months ago?"

Danny rang the bell and Xavier opened the door. I had never seen that boy so happy to see anyone in his life. He hugged his older brother tight and seemed like he didn't want to let go.

"Dad! Danny's home!!" The kid said in excitement and ran into the other room.

"His face just lit up like it's Christmas morning." I said to Danny.

"Welcome home, kid." His dad, Derek said and hugged his son tight.

"Good to see you, Dad. I missed you."

"Dinner's almost ready."

"Help me set the table, Max?" Danny asked.

"Sure." I said shyly.

I grabbed the plates at placed them down on the kitchen table carefully. Danny walked by me and smacked my ass, making me nearly jump.

"None of that. We're strictly friends tonight." I said in a hushed tone.

"Whatever you say." He smirked, making me roll my eyes.

Dinner was silent for the most part. I was asked about Harvard while Danny talked about Afghanistan. Everything was fine until I felt my boyfriend's hand on my thigh.

It was like everything around me had stopped and all I could feel was his hand. Then all I could see was my father's hand on me moving toward the one place I didn't want him to go near.

I got up quickly and looked to everyone else. "Excuse me for a minute."

I seemed fine, but in reality all I could see was my father.
