Fifty chapters? Damn, and this story isn't even close to being finished. Thanks for the support and love. Here's to many more.
I was on edge the next few months and I couldn't help it. Just knowing that my father was out there and could knock on my door any second gave me the chills. Levi comforted me though all of it. We even started planning for the wedding to get my mind off of it.
"Should we do white roses or red ones?" Levi asked.
"I think white would go better with the venue." I replied.
"White roses it is then."
"Babe, I want you to have a say in these things to. If you want to do something then we'll do it."
"Whatever you want is whatever I want, darling. I'm just happy that I get to spend the rest of my life with you." He kissed my lips, making me blush.
There was a knock on the door that made us both sigh.
"I'll get it." Levi kissed my forehead and got up.
I looked through the list of things we still needed to choose and book. Wedding planning was so much work.
"Baby, it's for you." Levi called.
I got up and walked into the foyer only to find Danny standing in the doorway in uniform.
"Danny... what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm home." He replied.
"For good?"
"For good."
I didn't say anything else. I just walked over to him and gave him a tight, meaningful hug. My favorite soldier was home.
