The next week was absolute bliss. My classes were getting easier, Danny and I made out in the janitor's closet every day during lunch, all was well. But then came that one day where my whole world came crashing down.

When I pulled into my driveway, I noticed the cop car parked on the side of the street and my heart began to hammer. With shaky hands, I took out my key and unlocked the door.

Two police officers sat with Danny in my living room and their eyes were all fixated on me. But mine only met with the hazel ones that were filled with apology.

"You said you wouldn't tell." I said quietly.

"I had to." He he told me.

"Son, can we talk to your for a moment? Ask you a few questions about your father?" One of the officers asked.

"Yes." I nodded and sat as far away from Danny as possible.

"Has your father ever taken advantage of you? Has he sexually abused you?"

I was hesitant to reply but I eventually swallowed and nodded. This was it. This was happening. "Yes."

"Was anyone else around when this took place?"

"No. My mother was always working."

"Has anyone else seen this abuse?"

"No."

"Have you told anyone else?"

"No one other than Danny."

"Okay, we're going to have to take you down to the station to ask you a few more questions. As of right now your father is being detained."

"Can I talk with my boyfriend for a moment?" Danny asked.

"Of course."

Danny and I walked into the dining room and I looked at him in disappointment.

"I trusted you." I said.

"I know, but I couldn't see you getting hurt any longer."

"You were the one person that I cared about and believed in and you threw that all away."

"Because I care about you."

"Not enough it looks like." I glared at him and walked with the policemen.

I had trusted Danny but not anymore. He threw it away. Just like my father did once.
