Virginie's Point Of View
October 22th
I wake up very excited. I know my whole plan could go wrong, but I'm willing to take a chance. The last time I did something that spontaneous, I ended hurting Harold's car and look where it got me. I call Matt and ask for a ride at the airport.
By the time he gets here, my suitcase is ready with all kind of clothing, but mostly the beautiful ones I bought with Sophia at her favourite shop. I thought about calling her and ask her to join me with my surprise, but it's Thursday. I think she's got a full week of school. I don't want to disturb her.
Matt knocks on my door and I can't thank him enough for all he does for me. He doesn't understand why I'm doing this, but it's just such a thrill this spontaneous trip. I take all my personal belongings and I'm ready to go. Matt is more than helpful, he even walks me as far as he can in the airport. I buy myself a one-way ticket and wait for my flight. I stop at a coffee shop and fill my body with coffee yet again. I sit at a table and do my readings due for when I get back from my reading week or my break if you will. It'll be done and I won't have to deal with it again for the whole week to come. I go to my gate when the time comes and fly to Belfast.
After the 40-minute flight, I walk to the exit and look for a cab. When I do, I realise I have no idea where they stay at. I call Harry.
"Gynie?"
"Hi Harry, weird question, which hotel are you staying at!?" I ask in a rush.
He answers and I hang up saying I'll explain everything later. The cab driver parks right in front of the hotel and I walk to the lobby.
I can't believe what I just did! It's crazy! I've never done anything like this before! I could jump around like a lunatic right now! I call Harry back.
"I'm sorry for being so rushed a few minutes earlier... I just wanted to deliver something to you. The hotel just told me it was waiting for you at the lobby's front desk..." I say without hiding my excitement.
"Gynie?! What did you do? I just told you where I was, how could it be here so soon?" He says getting excited too.
"It's a surprise!" I laugh.
"Keep the line, I'm definitely curious! I'm running to the elevator right now!"
"You shouldn't miss it, it's a red box." I laugh talking about the red chocolate box I bought at the airport that I hold in my hands.
"Ok, I'm on the first floor! Where did you say it was, the front desk?" He says while I see him frown from afar as he steps in the other side of the lobby.
"Yeah, it's in my hands actually..." I giggle as he reacts to what I just said.
I hang up and he just runs the few feet that separate us. His face is priceless. I wasn't expecting him to be this happy since he hadn't texted me yesterday. He rushes his lips on mine until we just can't breathe anymore. I missed him so much, his touch, his lips. I feel myself melting from he inside as he smiles at me. God he is gorgeous when he smiles like that!
"I can't believe you're here! You need to hold me a minute, my knees are weak..." He says hugging me closer hiding his nose in my hair. "I missed the smell of your hair and your spontaneity."
"I missed you too... More than you know! Even more yesterday, I waited all day for your text..."
"I'm sorry baby! Let me make it up to you in our bedroom... I've missed you!" He smiles devilishly being way too charming pulling me dangerously close to him
