Virginie's Point Of View
May 20th
I checked the itinerary to head to Boston and I realised how stupid I was. It would have been shorter to head to Boston before New York, but anyway, we got to Boston in one piece and the road was very fun. It took us a bit more than five hours because we had a little trouble getting out of New York.
The road was way more fun than our way over to New York. I must admit that he seemed very tired, like every other day since we left home. Every night, we've fallen asleep quite quick once we got to bed. Well, I did, I don't know about him.
We've had a pretty long day so far and the road is killing me right now. We stopped to eat at McDonalds on our way there and I got a little lost trying to find my way back to the highway. Thankfully, we get in Boston, but right in the rush hour. Matt takes the itinerary to guide me to the hotel I booked online, The Bostonian Boston. It's right by the Faneuil Hall I visited last time I was here. It's one of the prettiest place in Boston. It's a cute market and I remember shopping to Victoria Secret for the first time with my friends. We thought it was cool. I want to go there again. The room we booked is beautiful and has a great view of the market.
As we settled in our room, Matt and I talk about places we want to visit and Harvard is at the top of the list. He liked baseball so much, he wants to go see the Boston's Red Sox. If it was basketball season, I would have brought him to see the Celtics, but it isn't, so we'll go see a game, even though they are not my favourite team. We've also talked about going to the New England Aquarium.
Anyway, for now, I'm just so exhausted from all the driving that Matt decides to invite me for dinner. We get down to Faneuil Hall and walk around the lighted path slowly looking for a nice restaurant to eat at. The weather is a bit chilly as clouds cover the sky, but the ambiance is just so charming and romantic. I get lost in my head as Matt takes my hand to drag me to a fancy restaurant I hadn't noticed on the other side.
The big windows showcase beautiful couples laughing and casually eating in harmony and I'm very compelled to follow Matt there. He pulls me in to the door and we wait for a waiter to bring us to a table. The place is pretty crowded, but we fortunately get the best place at the back of the restaurant. It's very cozy and intimate. Every table is lit up with candles.
