Virginie's Point Of View
November 7th
To cheer both of us up, Harry proposed me to go shopping for my Christmas presents. Obviously, it lighted up my world like nothing else. Ha ha! We drove a little outside of London to find a quiet mall. I'm very happy to be doing this with him. I wonder what to get my family. I want to spoil them like I usually do, but I can't be coming back home with lots of luggage. I'll try to maintain myself!
We walk around for a while and for once I'm not really inspired. I see a jewellery and take Harry's hand to drag him in with me. I've always wanted to buy my sister a pearl necklace and I think this Christmas will be the year it happens. The jeweller welcomes us warmly since we are the only one in his store.
"Hello young fellows, how can I be of any help?" He happily asks.
"I'm looking for a pearl necklace." I answer with the same good spirit.
"For you or as a gift?"
"It's a gift... For my sister!"
"What a lucky lady she is! Here are this year's collection of our freshwater pearl necklaces."
I put my hands on the glass counter to look at them closely. They are all so beautiful, I don't know what she'll prefer, the biggest or the smallest pearls... I look at Harry behind me as he comes closer to me, frowning his brows, his arms behind his back, looking very serious.
"Which one do you prefer?" I ask him as he slides his arm on my waist to get closer to the counter where I stand. He smiles as he looks at them.
"I don't know Elizabeth, how is she? Is she anything like you?" He asks his head over my shoulder to look at each and every one of them.
"No... She's quite loud and funny..."
"You're funny, Gyns!"
"Well, she's charismatic and nice, a bit egocentric and materialist, but I just love her so much I would do anything for her. She studies to be a make up artist and she's brilliant at it! She's just so elegant and beautiful... I want to find the perfect one for her!"
"Well, I like this one. The pearls are not too big and I like the creamy colour. It's very elegant and nice."
"I agree!" I say brightly smiling at him. "I'll take it!"
The jeweller is very happy to have made a sale so easily and goes to the back store to go get a velvet box for the necklace. It leaves Harry and I alone in the store.
"Thank you for doing this with me!" I joyfully whisper to him facing him and take a hold of his beautiful and warm coat.
"It's a pleasure! I'm the one that proposed to you, remember?" I nod as he kisses me softly as the man comes back.
I'm over the moon happy right now as Harry takes my hand on the counter.
"It's a beautiful ring you have Miss. A beautiful choice to have gone with the meaningful Infinity model with the gold crossing the diamonds. I see the lad has great taste in jewellery. Congratulations on your engagement!" The man innocently says to us typing things into the computer.
Harry and I look at each other and laugh. He looks at my hand and I think he notices for the first time I do have a ring on my left fourth finger. He frowns his brows and do the most unexpected ever.
"Well thank you Sir." He says with confidence holding me closer to him. "The wedding is planned in June. We just sent the invitations. Is that right, Baby?"
