Niall's Point Of View

March 1st

I feel abnormally nervous for a first date.  I consider myself used to first dates because it's usually all I get from someone.  That's the way it went with Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez.

Tonight, I'm risking my friendship with one of the simplest woman I know.  I don't know what it is about her that is just making me happy.  We get along very well.  I can't put it into words, it's something she makes me feel.  It was actually the way she made me feel when we saw each other last month before I left for my trip and the few times I called her on Skype.

Now, I have to figure out if we are just good friends or it might be more...  The only thing I am sure is that we always have a good time together and I missed that while I was away.

I park into her driveway and I text her I am here, but I get out of the car to walk to her door.  I knock as my hands are cold from nervousness.  It doesn't take long to be face to face with Matt.

"Hi Matt! It's been a long time, how are you?"  I spit out as I am glad it's him and not her Dad at the door.

"I'm alright, thank you.  Please come in.  Do you want something to drink?"  He asks as he guides me to the dining room table and sit. "How are you?"

"No, I'm good thanks.  Honestly, I'm actually a bit nervous..."  I let out, getting comfortable on the chair across of him, looking around nervously at the house.  It is warm and really inviting.

"Do you have something to be nervous about?"  He squints his eyes a bit and it brings a smile to my face.

"No, not at all.  I'm here for your sister."  I precise for him to get her and stop interrogating me.  Even though being protective is cute, it's stressing me even more.

"Well, that's plenty to be nervous about.  She should be ready soon.  She was running through the house in her underwear minutes ago.  There were swearing and throwing clothes at me involved."  He says very calmly moving his shoulders up and down.

"We better hope she gets dressed then, we wouldn't want her to get cold."  I joke, but he doesn't laugh.  He frowns his brows at me.

"Indeed not."  He looks at me in silence for what seems like an eternity, before getting up.  "I'm going to go check on her."

He leaves me alone in the kitchen and I hope that she is coming soon.  I hear them both talking from afar, before he comes back and stands right next to me.

Matt might be a bit smaller than me, but he sure looks intimidating right now.  I stand up too and his eyes pierce into mine.

"I might not be that tall or strong or a singer or successful, but when it comes about the ones that I love, I am capable of great things."  He threatens me with a wide and charming smile.

"Oh yeah?" I swallow hard.

"Ask Harry."  He says before Cindy walks up to me.

"I'm ready to go."  She says and I join her quickly.

"Take care Matt.  It's nice seeing you again."  I say as what he just said leaves me wondering, but Cindy's smile brings me back to how I felt when I got here.

She takes her coat and we leave instantly the house.  I walk her to the passenger side and open her door.

"How are you?" I ask her as she gets in.

"Very good."  She brightly smiles at me before I close the door and head to my side.  "And you?"

"I'm great, thank you."  I answer back to her with a smile and put the key in the ignition to get out of the driveway.
