Liam's Point Of View

January 21st

I was holding Gynie close in my arms before a lovely French voice made her step away from me.

"Allo?"

I turn around to see the reflection of Gynie, but taller and with much more make up, smiling and completely speechless.  She is stuck at a few feet of us and her eyes go from her sister to me repeatedly.

Gynie runs to her sister and takes her in her arms.  That doesn't seem to please the young woman, but she looks at me and I see her patting her sister's back.

"Bybie!"  Gynie says visibly happy to hold her sister close, but she gets away pretty quick.  "I need to pee."

I laugh as she runs to the bathroom.  I walk to her sister and offer her my hand to shake.

"Hey love, I'm Liam.  How are you?"  I politely say, but I don't know if she speaks English as much as her sister...  So I risk myself the little French Gynie taught me.  "Bonjour, je m'appelle Liam.  Comment allez-vous?"

She smiles and lets out a small giggle as her eyes are as wide as before.  She takes my hand and shakes it weakly.  Her hand is so cold and bigger than Gyn's.

"I'm Elizabeth.  It's nice to meet you."  She says to me with a poor English, but it's cute.  She has a much bigger accent than her sister.  "I'm sorry, I just can't believe it.  She never told us she was expecting company."

"Oh, I'm sorry.  Am I intruding?  I don't want to disturb."  I say a bit in a panic to be at her parents' house without them knowing she has a boy over.

"No.  It's just surprising to actually see and know that it was true after all."  She says speaking very slowly.

"Why wouldn't it be?"  I frown at her.

"Is my sister drinking wine?"  She says and takes her glass to bring it to her lips.  "Yes, she does.  She hates wine."

She keeps the glass and walks to sit at the kitchen table.  I join her, she hasn't answered my question at all.  And I didn't know Gynie doesn't like wine.  She was drinking some in London with us a few times.

"So many things must have happened in London and we don't know a thing."  She says drinking from the glass again.

"How is that?"  I question her.

"She came back and stayed in her room all day, everyday.  She was wearing beautiful expansive dresses to Christmas and New Year's and acted like everything was fine, but apart from these days she isn't much fun to have around."

"Your sister is plenty of fun."  I say calmly not understanding, because she is and I try to have her back.

"She never smiles anymore and we don't have a clue of what happened in London.  She didn't tell us a thing.  We only know what she told our family about studying at King's College.  She never talked about Harry or you guys.  We saw Harry with her on Skype, but it's the only thing that seemed real to us.  But now, it didn't seem as real, until you, here, today."

"If you have any questions, you can ask me, because the Gynie we had the chance to meet was extraordinary.  She was happy and caring.  She is my friend and I'm proud to call her that.  Her love with Harry was epic.  He was the luckiest man in the world and he blew everything up by breaking up with her.  We have so many great memories.  It's sad that she didn't share any of it with you."
