Farewell Party

Virginie's Point Of View

December 18th

I can't contain the amount of excitement that I feel inside.  Matt and Cindy are about to arrive as Matt texted me they were on their way.  Lea will join us in a couple of hours and Harry didn't invite Catherine, because I haven't talk to him about her.  He was so incredible to have reached out to them.  I don't know how he did it, but I'm amazed.

While I got ready and put on the cocktail dress he chose for me to wear, he sat next to me and watched me put on my make up.  I asked him to braid my hair and as he did, I opened the medicine cabinet to look for an hair tie to tie up my braid.  I found a red bottle of nail polish instead.

"Nail polish?"  I laugh and take it out in my hand to look at it closely.  "And it's a good brand too!"  I notice.

"I put it on sometimes, just for fun.  I used to polish Lux nails a lot too."  He says taking the bottle from my hands coming next to me.

"How cute...  What are you doing?  Are you going to polish my nails too?!"  I look at him doing exactly that. He is better than I would have imagined.  "Well, you are a very talented man.  You should think about opening a beauty salon during this hiatus."  I joke at him as he looks very focused on his work.

"Stop laughing Gyns, your hands shake.  I'm almost done. The color suits you well."  He compliments me and I'm surprised.  I learn new things about him everyday and I love him more for that.

"I'm sorry.  Thank you!  I want to polish yours too then."  I joyfully say, but he only lets me polish his thumbs which is more than enough to make me happy.

He dresses up as I head downstairs with all the excitement I have in me.  Somebody knocks at the door just in time.  I run to open it and jump in Cindy's arms as soon as I see her.

"Well hello to you too!"  Matt jokes behind with his hands full.

I step away from his twin and take the boxes out of his hands.

"Pizzas?"  I ask him with a large smile.

"Yeah, I was hungry."

"So you brought four large pizzas?"  I look at him with a funny doubtful look.

"Well, you know me, I'm of the generous kind.  I had to share."  He smiles and gets inside the house to me.  I don't waste a moment and hug him tightly.

"I missed you, Matt!  I couldn't stop thinking about you all week.  I started this new story, I'm sure you'll like it.  How was your exam Friday?"  I change the subject drastically since I'm so excited to be with them at home. "Come to the living room and take a seat.  Make yourselves at home.  Do you want something to drink?  Anything?!"

"Relax Virginie!  We are fine.  You can breathe!"  He jokes and hugs me again laughing in my ear.

Harry walks down the stairs with the most beautiful and warm smile.  He makes me all the more excited for this evening.  He opens his arms and great Matt with a big brotherly hug as if they have known each other for years.  I introduce Cindy to him and she giggles to a point where I'm laughing too.  Oh God!  What kind of night is this going to be?!

"Who wants a drink?!"  I propose heading to the kitchen, because I need one.  I need to relax.

Matt follows me and helps me.  I know how Cindy loves wine and I made sure to buy the best one.  White wine should be great for everyone while we get all settled.  Matt takes the glasses and follows me back to Cindy and Harry who were laughing together.  The smile she wears on her lips might be something I will never be able to forget.  She is very happy and I can't believe how much fun they are having.  She is very genuine and funny so I'm not that surprise they get along so well already.  I sit next to my man as I let Matt open the bottle.
