Cindy's Point Of View
February 20th
Today is officially my birthday and Matt and I are turning 21. We haven't planned a big party, just a small gathering with the family. Virginie wanted us to Skype with her throughout the day when we would be available. That only made Matty's day. He never Skyped face to face with her. They just emailed. So I feel somewhat very lucky to have had that chance.
I woke up thinking about everything that is waiting for me today. I stayed in bed and watched the ceiling, feeling completely my surroundings, the sheets around me, breathing in the feeling of maturity growing in me today.
I take my portable computer and look at my accounts to see if I have news from anyone. I sigh deeply as I have none. I put it on my nightstand and decide to hit the shower.
Before I do, I run through the house and get in Matt's bedroom in a hurry. I get on his bed on all fours jumping above him to wake him up.
"Matt!! Wake up, wake up, wake up!" I shout with the widest grin on my face, before getting off and running back to the bathroom to shower.
Once I get out, I open the bathroom door to let out some of the steam. With only a towel around my body, I walk through the house, brushing my hair to see that I am still literally the only one already awake. I take a glimpse of my brother, still in his bed, peacefully sleeping. I am about to go wake him again when a familiar ring comes to my ears. I run through the corridor and think about who it might be. It's too early for Virginie as it is still night time in Montreal. My computer is all lighten up as the most adorable face pops up my screen.
I freak out as I have no clothes on and struggle to get to the computer before it hangs up. My hair is dripping water everywhere as I breathlessly press the answer button.
"Hi! This is so unexpected. I'm so happy that you called... Ow!" I slip on the water and bang my head against the floor.
"Oh my God, are you alright, love?" The sweetest of Irish accent asks me.
"Yeah... Give me just a minute or two to look shamefully at my ceiling before I get dressed and come talk to you." I sigh deeply, rolling my eyes at my own clumsiness.
"Happy Birthday by the way! It seems like it's going well so far..." Niall jokes before I finally have the strength to get up and get dressed.
"Never been better actually." I smile and take a seat on my bed with my computer to be more comfortable. "Let me just... click here... that way you can see me." I bite my lip and say everything I'm doing as I click on the camera icon.
"It's been a while since we last saw each other." He says as we can see each other, finally. I think both of our smiles widen at the sight of the other and it tickles literally everywhere in my body.
