It's nice to know that you work like you used to before this little incident happened.  I mean I thought with it being you and all that you would't have jumped right into bed with Dean. I'm not complaining at all, I applaud you for that.

I laid in bed next to Dean who was just lying there with his eyes closed. I knew he wasn't asleep because of the hint of a smile he had playing at the corner of his lips. "Are you watching me sleep?" He asked with the smile growing now showing his white teeth. "You're not asleep. I'm not watching just simply glancing at you." "Oh I would say that's creepy but then I would just be calling myself creepy because when you're asleep, asleep Cande I watch you sleep. I also listen to you breathe, it's soothing." "Oh god Dean what you're doing is creepy!" I laughed putting my hands over my face. "It's not creepy, it's romantic. It just shows I don't know what but I'm sure someone finds that adorable." "Nope Dean anyone would find it creepy not romantic at all. I mean to wake up in the middle of the night because they get thirsty. And they see this guy staring at them in the darkness, possibly breathing heavily. That would scare me! I'm glad I haven't woken up when you do that." I tried picturing it in my head to see if once just once I could find it being anything else but creepy but couldn't. I sat up in bed, ready to get decent and start the day. We were already en route for Rome. Yes it may be an infected city but it wasn't horrible. And besides that was one of the cities I was looking forward to going to. "Don't get up." Dean whined and pulled my back against him. Don't fight it. Think we're almost to Rome, we're not going to have time for him when we arrive. Unless you sit this one out and send another team out. Then we'll have time but you're not going to do that are you. It's always business before pleasure with you. You put your needs before mine. I thought we were a team! So just stay here. I listened to the little voice and stayed laying with Dean.

"Sir she's very, very tired. Think of all she's been through I don't think it's a good Idea for you to see her now. You can try later after Rome but if she's asleep and we wake her we're going to have to deal with her tiny wrath." My eyes opened as soon as I heard Mikaela coming closer to my cabin, talking to someone in an almost frantic state. Whom ever it was she was trying to get them not to see me. The first thought was my dad. What if he had somehow found out what I was doing and who, don't forget who. The little voice looked over in Dean's direction with her eyes glistening. "Cande, Cande may I enter?" Mikaela asked gently knocking on the door. "Just a minute." I called pulling the blankets over Dean's head. "Yes Mikaela," I called sitting up in bed and fixing my hair so it didn't look quite so bad. I instantly regretted that decision though, there she was in my door way and walking with a hologram who was Chris. For once I hated what the falcon was capable of doing.

"So can you please tell me why one of my top captains got bit by a mermaid and came to the equivalent of dying and the only way I found out was by reading a report that got put on my desk this morning. Also why did you not tell me that you've mixed your blood with a dying mermaid which ended up healing him. And now we may or may not have some immortal mermaid because of your actions. For all we know he can have some sort of reaction to your blood later down the line and become some super undying meraid. Good god Cande you, you are such a pain! If I didn't think you were the only one that could handle this mission I would send you home so fast. Or better yet suspend your services from the agency." I got tired of listening to Chris go on and on about how I never behaved. Honestly this wasn't the first time I've received this speech from Chris, I've heard it plenty of times now. "Chris relax, she's fine, the whole crew is fine, and she's recovering from her incident. Just take a breath and just be glad things did't end a whole other way." Janeal stepped out from the shadows and draped her arms around Chris's neck. "Wait hold the phone what do you mean someone filed a report and submitted it to you. No one told me of this and I am their captain after all. They should have at least let me know, I need to know this sort of thing." Chris didn't say anything but his eyes did. They showed me exactly who went behind my back and let Chris know everything that had happened. I hated the idea of who it was but there was no denying it, his eyes fell on the person that laid on the bed. "Your co captain is more honest than you are. Tell me if he hadn't sent the report would you have told me what happened? Ever?" I took a moment to think and let everything sink in. Not about Chris' question but about what Dean had done. "Eventually I would have gotten you drunk Chris and told you. I didn't mean to seem like I was going against you, but you're so fathering to me and Rachel. What would you have done if you knew the minute everything was happening? You would have panicked and come out here. I was doing it to protect the ones I love, I didn't want to worry anyone that all."

Chris sat there and shook his head. "What you did was beyond stupid Cande. You don't think and when you do you don't think that any of your actions are going to have any consequences. You definitely don't follow the rules, and because of that you're either going to get yourself or your  crew killed. I've changed my mind, change the route of the Falcon and come home. You're done Cande, you're done with the mission and the agency. I'll file the paper work to dismiss you and to assemble a new team to continue the mission." Janeal began to cry silently, I didn't know why though there seemed to be no reason. She just cried into Chris shoulder with her face buried, then I realized what she was doing. She was letting out some sort of calming effect in the room. She was trying to help me against Chris. "Chris please. Okay I'll admit I majorly fucked up. I fucked up big time but don't take the falcon and my crew away from me. They're, their my family just let me finish the mission. I'll report every little thing to you as soon as I'm done. Even the little things like when someone takes a shit. But please don't take this away from me." I broke down and began to cry. Dean sat up from behind me and wrapped his arms around me. Quickly I shoved him away causing him to tumble off of the bed. He remained on the floor and peeked over the mattress at me. His glowing blue eyes never looking away. "Fine you can continue, you don't have to report everything to me. I really don't want to know what people do in the bathroom especially Mark. But you have to promise me that you will think things out more. Think about it what would happen to Rachel and Taylor if anything happened to you? That would kill them, so please take care of your self." I nodded with tears still streaming down my face. Janeal smiled and blew a kiss as the hologram faded out and they were no longer here.

"What the hell Cande?! What's your problem?! What did I do that you don't want me touching you?!" Dean asked still sitting on the floor where he had tumbled. The sound of his voice made my blood boiled, how could he act like he didn't know what was going on? He clearly knew since he had been awake when I was talking to Chris. "Really Dean? You're going to act completely oblivious to what happened? You betrayed me and went behind my back and filed a report to Chris with all of the details. You told him what happened in Sydney and do you know what happened? I almost lost my ship and crew because of you! So don't you even act like you're innocent. Because of you I am going to be constantly watched by Chris! How could you do this to me Dean? I thought you werewolves are loyal, you knew I wasn't going to file a report. And yet you went behind my back and do it?!" Dean pulled himself up onto the bed and attempted to put an arm around me. I drew myself back so fast from him that I ended up tumbling off of the bed. He reached out to help me up, "Don't you fucking touch me!" He looked taken back that I would talk to him like that. "I did it because Chris had to know Cande. He just had to, I mean what happened there was a pretty big deal. We found out what mermaid venom does to you and how your blood healed Dax. What if your blood is part of the cure that we've been looking for?" "It's not!" I snapped back to him. "Don't be mad at me Cande, Yes I went behind your back but it wasn't to hurt you. I honestly didn't think that Chris would react in that way. I love you, you know I do and if I had known this was going to happen I would have never done it. Now come here." Dean stretched out his arms for me to go to him.

Don't do it! Think of how differently things could have happened if he Chris hadn't changed his mind. We would have lost everything we have worked for. Don't go back to him, at least not right now.  The little voice warned, she was right for once. "I'm done Dean. I'm done with this relationship we have. After this I, I just can't with you anymore. How am I going to trust you if you keep something is big from me?" I fought with every thing I had to not let a tear  break free. "Cande. Cande you can't be serious. You're not really ending us because of something stupid I did. Tell me how to fix this and I wll. Just tell me!" Dean pleaded scooting over on the bed to where I sat on the floor. "There's nothing you can do, all you can do is accept the fact that we're no longer together. Now we're a couple hours out of Rome Captain Nighte." I spun on my heels and left the room as fast as I could  RUN! Run! Don't let him see us like this. Holy hell I didn't think you were actually going to leave him! It's okay though we're single again!

"Cande, Cande what's wrong? What happened with you and Chris? Love why do you look like you're going to cry?" Mikaela asked side stepping me so I couldn't walk away from her. "You know what let's go talk in private." She grabbed hold of my hand and took me to the back of the ship.
