It seemed like time had stood still as Shirley, Tre, and Cheryl all made their way into the fancy Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington, NJ a mere fifteen minutes later. Tori and Shawn hadn't arrived yet and were both on their way as well.

"Mom, try and calm down first." Tre tired to calm his mother down, rubbing her shoulder. Shirley nodded, swallowing before walking up to the desk. The rather rude looking receptionist looked up, raising her eyebrow.

"Can I help you?" she asked. Cheryl frowned at her tone, leading Tre to squeeze her into him. Shirley was remaining calm, though slight frown lines had begun to appear on her forehead.

"I was told that my mother was brought to this hospital; Sandra Annie Johnson; date of birth is June twelfth, nineteen forty-three." she replied. The receptionist sighed slightly.

"Could you wait over there please ma'am? It's getting hectic in here." the receptionist replied in a rude manner. Tre squeezed Cheryl so she wouldn't move while Shirley gave a shocked look.

"I can see that, but I am trying to locate my-" she was saying before the receptionist cut her off.

"Ma'am, wait a minute." she snapped. Shirley was about to say something else before Cheryl stepped up to the desk, the words pouring from her mouth in a flash.

"Look, I don't know who the hell you think you are but we are looking for her mother; her mother was hurt in a home invasion and we are trying to find her to check up on her. Let me tell you who I am; I am Cheryl Cole, one of the biggest and most successful pop stars in the United Kingdom, and a person with six lawyers standing behind her from my record company. If you continue to be rude for absolutely no reason what so ever, I will make sure you are of a job quicker than you can even type in the information to find Sandra. Now; her name is Sandra Annie Johnson, born the twelfth of June in nineteen forty-three - I suggest you tell us where she is before you're outside on your ass without a job title. Are we clear?" Cheryl spoke in the most calm manner possible. Her tone stunned Shirley but Tre just smirked; he knew Cheryl had in it her, but Shirley had never seen the feisty side of her - and she was impressed.

The receptionist's expression softened and she swallowed hard, almost as if she was able to see the fire in Cheryl's shining brown eyes. She could already hear it by her tone; she was serious about this.

"Y-yes ma'am.." the receptionist stuttered before typing away on her computer, "Erm, bed five on the left side; I'm sorry for the trouble."

"Thank you." Cheryl said, giving her a dimpled smile that almost put the receptionist on edge with how fast Cheryl's tone changed. She simply nodded at her and gave her a small smile, leading Cheryl to nod her head and smile again before she walked off with Tre and Shirley.

"My word Cheryl; that was impressive." Shirley giggled a bit. Cheryl giggled slightly and blushed while Tre stroked his hand through Cheryl's ponytail.

"She's a feisty thing, mom; that's for sure." he said. Cheryl jokingly dusted her shoulders off before the three of them finally went made it over to bed five. They looked behind the curtain; Sandra was propped up on he bed, talking away to a doctor. There was a small bandage under her eye and her arm was in a sling.

"Mom; damn woman you're turning me gray already!" Shirley breathed out, capturing the attention of her mother and he doctor. Sandra laughed a bit, holding her free arm out as Shirley wandered over and gave her a tight hug. Cheryl and Tre followed suit, hugging her as well.

"Are you alright, grandma?" Tre asked.

"I'm fine, y'all; honestly I am." Sandra assured them.

"Are you sure? Are they looking after you alright? Do I need to have a word with anyone?" Cheryl asked, stroking a bit of the old woman's soft grey hair behind her ear. Sandra smiled, shaking her head as she squeezed Cheryl's hand.
