Throughout the next few weeks, the security as upped to as tight as possible at Cheryl's house, and Cheryl nor anyone close to her wasn't allowed to go anywhere without security. Steve accompanied Cheryl and Tre to Cheryl's doctor's appointment to check up on how she was healing and such, Lee had accompanied Joan to the supermarket on another day, Mark had accompanied Garry and Tre to the gym one day. Even one of their other security guards, Dave, had been assigned to guard Lily as well due to her closeness to Cheryl.
To say that Cheryl was extremely frustrated and pissed off was a bit of an understatement when it came to this situation...
She was annoyed – annoyed that Jason had popped up into her life yet again after being gone for so long.
She was frustrated – frustrated that he was trying to break up her happiness yet again.
And she was pissed – pissed off that he was threatening the safety of everyone that meant the world to her.
One thing she wasn't, however, was scared. She had spent years upon years upon years of being frightened of Jason and his actions. She was scared of him flying into fits of rage, she was scared of home one day spilling the secrets of their relationships to the press and dragging her name through the mud. She was scared that people would find out about the horrible things she put herself through just so everything would work and she wouldn't lose the 'comfort' of being in a relationship.
However, she wasn't scared anymore...
She felt more protective than ever – she wanted to protect her family, her friends, and herself...
Today was just like any other day; another Monday, another day of having to feel protective over herself. Cheryl's security guards were in the living room, relaxing together, Tre had braved it and gone for a run down the path behind the house, Joan had gone back to Newcastle the night before, Garry was in the lounge playing on the X-Box, and Cheryl was in her music room, writing some music yet again and making up a melody on her piano. Her album was almost finished, but she was now writing yet another track that she knew she wanted to add as a very last track for her album. The pen danced away in her hand as she kept writing, pouting her lips together in concentration as she did so.
I won't break
So say what you gotta say
And I won't fall
I didn't need you anyway
And you won't try
And you won't fight
Already wasted all my time
No I won't break
So say what you gotta say
Say it say it
Say what you gotta say
Say it say it say it
Let's cut all the small talk
Tell me what I already know
Don't you dare think I'm not strong enough
You're gonna have to let me go
Cheryl swallowed as she continued writing, having never written such a powerful song as she was doing right now. She was so wrapped up in her own zone that she hadn't even noticed that Tre was freshly showered and dressed again after coming back in from his run, or that he was standing in the doorway of her music room. He quietly watched her with a sweet smile on his face, loving how she pouted her lips and furrowed her brow in concentration, or how she'd stop and think for a second then make a little melody up and sing softly to herself. He loved how passionate she was about her music; it was clear that the music meant everything and more to her.
