Later in the evening, the smells of the delicious chicken and dumplings soup drifted throughout Tre's apartment, bringing Cheryl from her peaceful slumber. She'd managed to get a little more rest, but now after hardly eating all day and smelling the delicious soup, she was absolutely starving. She sat up and let out a yawn before looking over at the kitchen area. She smiled to herself as she saw Tre nodding his head along to the music on the radio, finding her boyfriend to be incredibly dorky yet so adorable. She just loved how Tre wasn't ever afraid to be himself around her, which in turn made her feel incredibly comfortable as well around him.
She got up and slowly made her way over to him, quietly creeping up behind him and placing her hands on his waist. He jumped slightly before looking over his shoulder, smiling.
"Hey there gorgeous; sleep well?" he asked, wrapping his arm around her and pulling her to his side. She nodded, cuddling into him.
"Yes; and I feel a tad bit better yet still run down," she kissed his cheek before continuing, "This smells really good; thanks."
"Thank my mom for the recipe; I would've never thought of this on my own." Tre chuckled as he put the lid back on the big soup pot. He then turned around properly and lifted Cheryl up, sitting her on his island bar top like counter. He stood between her legs, gazing at her.
"Only you can be ill and still look beautiful; your eyes are still all sparkly." he told her, stroking his finger down her nose. She shook her head, smiling shyly.
"No not at all." she giggled. She then draped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips, smiling.
"I love you." she crinkled her nose up. Tre raised an eyebrow before smiling, giving her a light kiss on her lips.
"I love you too." he replied, patting the side of her bum. Cheryl smiled at him, just holding his hands and gazing at him lovingly. Tre chuckled slightly, wondering why she was staring at him like that.
"Why are you staring at me?" he chuckled. Cheryl blinked slightly, blushing as she giggled. She had been so wrapped up in him that she didn't even realize that she was really staring so intently at him.
"Because I just love you; that's all really." she grinned. Tre chuckled a bit before softly kissing her forehead, then resting his head against hers.
"Soup's almost ready." He told her. She nodded, kissing his cheek lightly before finally letting him go. Tre finished cooking up the soup, while Cheryl hopped down from the counter and went to sit at Tre's little table. She still felt quite run down, but she was also quite hungry now because she'd hardly eaten today. She was grateful to have Tre looking after her, it just showing how loving he was and how he always put everyone before himself – especially her.
Cheryl was really glad to have been given a second chance at being with Tre. She knew that the year earlier when they'd broken up, it had been a mistake but at the same time, she knew it had to happen. Still, she had deeply regretted it not long after, her heart being quite broken after the fact...

*Flashback*
'I love you with all my soul too, Cheryl Ann Cole <3'
Cheryl read the end of the message over and over, tears slipping down her cheeks and blurring her vision. She tossed the phone aside and wiped her eyes, before standing up and going over to the balcony of her villa. She sat down on the lounger and pulled her knees up to her chest, burying her face in. She began shaking slightly before finally letting out the sobs that had built up – she was broken.
She had just lost the best man she had ever known – and why? She loved him to death, she really did, but she also knew that they needed this time apart. They were arguing a lot about not spending time together, plus Cheryl had some other things on her mind that she kept snapping at him about or some things that would just bother her. She was a mess at the moment, and she knew that it was unfair of her to keep putting Tre through so much. She loved him, but they had to take a little break.
She knew she'd never stop loving Tre too. No matter how much time they'd have to spend apart, no matter whether they got back together in the future or not, she knew she'd always love him. He had really helped her though so much over the last year or so, and she couldn't shake him. He was everything to her and more and she already missed him...
Her heart was broken...
And she just hoped and prayed they could be together again one day...
